Did I win?

Sorry to hear about the misaligned numbers. That is a real bummer. This is the first I have heard of this problem with the 3717. I wonder if it is a result of the 3717 being available from the normal collector members, rather than from EL on his original 100 piece run. Did you order from one of the cartel? If so, the reduced pricing on this piece might be cause for some concern regarding typical lack of QC with regular 'collectors' drop shipped items. Perhaps you might supply a few photos. I would definitely recommend getting a new dial, or perhaps just a complaint to the person you got it thru. A new watch rather than just a new dial.

The Zigmeister is on vacation. He will start taking on appointments in August. For the 3717 it will be worth the wait.

The Zigmeister did all of the things you are requesting minus the Double AR. His luming is first rate, and gives the watch added appeal. The date wheel alingment is superior. My 3717 is my favorite watch. The Zigmeister made it so.

Have to agree...the bracelet is very comfortable. I prefer it to the leather strap. I found too that a nice Cape Cod treatment made the whole piece shiny and more buttery feeling. This is a wonderful watch/bracelet combo. Considering the cost of EL's pieces and the Ziggification charges for date wheel and lume fixes, the 3717 is a 500.00 watch, but well worth the money IMO. Sounds as though a lot of us feel that way. It would be interesting to know how many of this model The Zigmeister has worked on?

You are some lucky guys. Beautiful.

How about this vintage beauty? Or this one?

If one were to have an affection for fine watches...then one would admire your collection. I definitely admire your collection. Wear them well.

3 Series BMW convertible, or coupe. Perhaps the most beautiful BMW evermade. Tourque!!! Fast...fun to drive.

This one's been simmering on the back burner for a while...

Boy do I envy you. I searched for a DW case for the 6265 for quite awhile, but had no luck. Eventually I wanted this watch so much that I settled for the piece you see here. Certainly not the caliber of your Daytona, but for me it will always be my favorite model. I especially love the silver dial. The depth of your tach etching is impressive. Way better than the photo of the gen you illustrated. On my piece the etching is way to shallow, but...I LOVE this watch. Beautiful work. Wear it well. -
Congratulations on making it to the Avenues. Spent many a day in that area, certainly one of the most beautiful spots on the planet. If I were you, I would spend a few days around there before moving on. Go for a swim. Stop off in Garberville, you will meet a lot of great people in that town. Friendly. Get back on 101 for your trip down towards SF. Keep up the good work.

I believe that the newer asian 7750 is standard in this piece. Without replacing the day date wheel, there are some days that line up better than others. The watch I show here is my 3717 back from The Zigmeister. After servicing, my day date wheel alignment is pretty darn perfect (every day) without replacing with genuine day date wheels. I am perfectly happy with it. Additionally I had The Zigmeister do the re lume, and this makes this piece close to perfect, IMO. I highly recommend this watch to any collector.

Review of the Rolex Explorer I replica
jeff g replied to Seadweller4000's topic in Other Watch Reviews
Very nice review. The Explorer I was the second rep I ever purchased. Got it from EL back in 2004. Don't wear it much, but I doubt I would ever sell it. Plain and simple timepiece. Over the years I am afraid I have gotten spoiled by some of the beautiful chronos available these days. The Explorer case seems pretty small anymore. Nevertheless a beautiful piece, and a wonderful rep. Thanks for the great review. -

Very nice group shots. IWC models are getting better and better. The Cousteau and Pilot Chrono are especially nice. Wear them well.

So I was wondering how you choose what watch to wear?
jeff g replied to cableguy's topic in General Discussion
Right, what PUG said... For me however, because I only wear a suit or jacket very infrequently, I mostly wear sport watches. Owniing more than 20 watches it normally comes down to the choice of 5 or so these days. What has happened recently though has changed even that wearing pattern. That is...I wear ONLY my 3717 IWC lately. It seems that I have finally found the watch that appeals to me for ALL occassions. The other 19 sit in my case. Recently when I attended a wedding and wore a jacket I substituted the 3717 with my 'dress' Daytona 6263. I will probably be selling a few of the remaining 18 one day soon. -

Picked up the latest issue of 'Best Life' magazine at the airport today. Check out the ad on the back cover. Great illustration and text touting the IWC Pilot Chrono. First I have seen marketing this beautiful watch. Sweet!!! Looks way better on my wrist than on the magazine cover.

Seamaster black (ETA 2824) from Paul....thoughts?
jeff g replied to UglyStick's topic in The Omega Area
Great watch. I own two versions, both with black datewheel. Biggerst problem with all the models offered these days is with the placement of the HE valve, way too low compared to the gen. Nevertheless an extremely nice watch. About as comfortable a bracelet out there. Certainly an everyday beater. Buy it. -
Nice link, thanks
