I received my Jumbo PP Nautilus today. I will try and get some better photos out later, but I wanted to show off this beautiful watch asap. Great dealings with my favorite 'collector'. Without doubt my new favorite. Big part of the whole 'collection' thing is the anticipation of delivery of your next new watch. This is the one for me. Ubi and Euno have the best photos and reviews of course, check out thier great pictures... this IS one nice piece...a true work of art IMO. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. Went for the black dial and unconnected dots on dial. I could not be happier. Want to wear something special on your wrist? Get one. Wow.

Which dealers are selling the High beat Pilot Chrono?
jeff g replied to Nebakanezzar's topic in The IWC Area
Eddies model is wayyyy nicer than the cartel versions. A perfect dial, even good day/date wheels (once it is aligned properly). No mis-aligned markers. I had my 3717 relumed by The Zigmeister, and as far as I know it is the same as the gen @ 12-3-6-9 and hands. Now one of the finest features of this watch is the lume IMO. I think that in fact, it is superior to the gen. -
The link to Strapped for Time is the exact same band that I have. In order to size it you simply remove one link at a time until proper fit is achieved. Not to difficult. In that same link are a number of other rubber dive straps to choose from. Of the selection there, the Oyster type and deployment clasp was my favorite of the bunch. Highly recommend it. 34.95 is just a bit more than what I paid, but still reasonable. I was inspired to buy the Monster by Pug's great photos. You will be very pleased with this watch. A VERY nice dive/casual watch.

You will love the Monster. A really nice watch. You will also love the SS band. Trust me. However I sourched a few rubber straps, and decided on this 'Rubber Oyster' style. I really like it for water use, feels great on and looks really nice IMO. However, as I stated, you will really like wearing the Monster with the ss band as well. A very comfortable feel, and looks very nice.

3717 or St. Exupery , which one would you get?
jeff g replied to ryaku's topic in General Discussion
The 3717 ALL THE WAY....best looking dial on the planet. -
The 112 is a beautiful watch..and a great first choice. IMO I would not spend the 300.00 plus for the Davidsen for your first purchase. The 200.00 Swiss is a good dial/case, etc. and plenty accurate enough for a mid priced rep. You are on the right path. Spend the xtra 100.00 that you save on the deal for a really good strap. There are plenty of good straps available from a variety of strap makers for that 100.00 price. Look on the sales forum at paneristi, for accessories and you will find MP (Mario Paci) straps, and the like, brand new, that normally retail for 200.00 plus, on sale from fellow panerai lovers for that 100.00 price range. The strap often makes the watch, when wearing Pams, and the combination of what is available is have the fun.

What is the thickness of the gen? Seems that the bigest problem with the rep would be the thickness of the case. Is that true? Seems as though the gen breitlngs are much thinner than the reps.

George, Do you know what a 'noob' is?

3717 IWC or PP Nautilus If you don't own one... you should.

A little hesitant to show my bad photos compared to some beauties in this thread, but.... despite that here are a few VERY nice watches.

My Ziggified 3717 remains my favorite watch since receiving it with date wheel alignment, lume, and movement swap a few months back. I wear it with the SS band, and love it. Pugwash wears his(see todays Wrist check) with a beautiful brown/honey alligator band. Sooo it seems there are at least two of you that prefer the leather over the SS. All and all a fantastic looking watch. Wear it well. The Zigmeister rules!!!!

Considering that the cost of this strap is the same price for most of the Pam reps., I too think that the price is absurd. I have found that over the years, a little time spent on paneristi.com, one can find these straps, and ones like it for 1/2 the cost. I have a number of MP staps, brand new for the neighborhood price of 100.00. Still expensive, but realistic. Spend some time on the strap and accessories section of Panerisiti, and you will be much happier.

With so many reps, most of them auto's, I would need a lot of winders. For me it is the same as other members here, put them on, self starting, and or winding till spring is tight. If I had only a few auto's that I wore regularly I probably would keep them on a winder, couldn't hurt.

Some nice watches there.

Classic's. Thanks for the great pics and reviews. As a result of your Omega love, I have every single one of the Omega's you have done your great reviews on. Wear them well.

Audi for me too, but I'm not rich...this beauty is 9 years old. Got 100,000 mi. Runs like a top.

I have said before that your photography makes almost any watch a small piece of Art. In the case of the Pilot Chrono...it is in fact a piece of Art. We all thank you for contributing such great photos to the Forum. Wear it well.

I am an avid sailor, and enjoy the Cup races quite a lot. I have found that the best way to watch almost any sporting event these days is to TIVO it, and then watch the show on the up speed setting. It turns a slow event like sailing into a much more up tempo affair. You can watch a 2 hour race in about 10 minutes. Much more exciting. By the way, that AP cup watch is a beautiful thing.
