New Increased Shipping Rates from Our Recommended Dealers
jeff g replied to Tagger's topic in General Discussion
I recently purchased a rep Rolli from King. Her price for the watch was the same as other China based dealers. Main difference?...no charge for shipping. 30.00 shipping charge from our 'trustyJoshSash' guys. I ordered from King. -
Perhaps...'The Technician' could help you out. From what I have read he knows everything.

I purchased a couple of tickets back when you first posted the raffle. I wish that you hadn't repeated the offer, because now the odds will get worse with all the new interest. Nevertheless, I think my chances are great, because I am working the whole deal through "The Secret' process...you know positive vibes etc. After I win I will post a few shots of it with my Daytona watch to show scale. I believe my Silver 6263 dial will perfectly match the silver paint on my new Cobra.

I am more of a black dial guy...but that white dial is one of the nicest faces I have seen in awhile. Beautiful watch. Wear it well.

Quality over quantity for sure. Of the many 'expensive' models available these days my favorite is the IWC Pilot Chrono (3717) A beautiful watch. Very wearable daily beater, and dresses up really well with a black croc strap.

For what it is worth. Be happy today. Who knows about tomorrow.

I am in the western rockies, and this ski season was the worst in the last 22 years. We are currently 52% or normal. For me it was the least amount of Alpine ski days in 35 years. Three decent powder storms from Dec 15th to March 15th. We normally have snow in my front yard from October 15th till May 15th. This year I have NO snow in my yard. For skiers this season SUCKED. Global warming?..You bet.

Has anyone bought from Watches Limited on Ebay
jeff g replied to Goochenbrau's topic in Other Brands Area
No experience with this seller. All I can tell you is that I bought my Monster on Amazon for 144.00, and I received it in 3 mailing day here in Conus. Singapore is more than 3 days away. -
This one will just have to do. Best wishes to all on this beautiful weekend. Does anybody REALLY know what time it is?

I own a few Seamasters. I know I am not alone in thinking that they look great, and feel great on the wrist. After reading By-Tors review of his GMT a few months back, I had to have one, to add to my Seamaster stash. Although the correct dial with white window trim is not currently available in an eta (as far as I could tell), this Asian 21J movement has worked flawlessly since I got it. And as I have mentioned a few times in others posts...the power reserve on this beauty is Incredible. 50(+) hours just sitting in my watch case. My pictures don't do it justice...but you'll get the idea. Enjoy. I certainly am.

When I got my new Black Monster, I didn't like the standard Seiko Rubber dive strap. I did a bunch of hunting, and found a few that I have ordered to replace the OEM. This is the first to arrive. I got it from a place called 'Strappedfortime'.com The cost on this one was 34.00 I really like it. Nice feel on the wrist. And IMHO it looks very cool. I have two more types coming in, each a bit different. I am leaving for a a diving trip next week, and I feel like wearing the rubber strap in the ocean is preferable to the SS strap. What do you diver guys think? Enjoy

Etiquette be damned. Formal rules of how to dress, and act, for that matter, are rules that are made to be broken. Avant Garde should be viewed as more acceptable than rules against it. Wearing a beautiful watch (which of course is in the eye of the beholder) should be a decision based soley on what is beautiful for you, not 'them'. I own a Cartier Tank Francias, and I wear it with SS and or black alligator WHENEVER I feel like it. The ONLY reason not to wear a sport watch with a suit is because it doesn't fit under a long sleeve shirt...NOT because Joe Blow would think it unacceptable. Screw that guy.

Review of the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono
jeff g replied to chubbchubb's topic in The Omega Area
When I spotted this beautiful piece on the wrist shots post earlier this week, I had to PM and let you know how nice a watch it looked to be. This detailed review only helps confirm that. Nice comparison review of the rep and gen. It is also good to see that there are a few members who like me are more interested in the good looks of a watch like this...rather than the 1 to 1 perfection that many feel is so important in a rep. Wear it well. Your review is enough to make me want to order one immediately. -
21mm is correct lug size. I am currently sourcing a Kevlar strap for the 3717. Or perhaps a tight nylon or carbon weave in lieu of the traditional alligator or pilot strap. So many options for such a great looking watch. What 's cool is that the standard IWC SS bracelet is really comfortable as well as great looking. But nice to have the option to change it up.

Dave is alive and well. He recently told me that he has reps that he hasn't even worn yet. A rep collector par excelance. A classic gentleman in the true sense of the word. We all would be lucky to have him participate regularly once again. Cross your fingers.

This whole issue with the 'Waterproof' reps is a troubling one for me. At this point I would not consider wearing a rep watch in the water. Time will tell. So to speak. For the money the 200m Seiko dive watches cannot be beat. I mean come on... a 140.00 bucks? How can you beat that? Although the SF is a beautiful watch, I would never wear it in the water, even the shower, much less diving. And besides, my Black Monster at 42mm with the SS band is one nice looking watch even on my skinny wrist, it wears really well for a 42. One thing too, as far as the gen vs. rep datewheel alignment issue, I notice that on the monster there is not a 'perfect' alignment every day. So I suppose that detracts from its looks? I don't think so. Just look at Pug's photos of this watch, what a beautiful piece.

OK, my comment about 'Soul' is kind of silly. Because I too, own a couple of Gen Quartz chrono's. They keep good time of course...but I don't wear them and I don't really like them. (Why did I buy them?) Looks. Nice thin cases, etc. But you know what I don't like about them most? They way the second hand goes...TICK......................TICK....................TICK. I hate that.

I am really loving these Seiko Dive watches more and more. Didn't have a great appreciation or knowledge of the genre until recently, but since purchasing the Black Monster and fitting both the SS bracelet and the various rubber straps available for this watch (these watches), I am really loving the different models. Especially in comparison to some of the other available inexpensive divers out there. Real quality and great looks for an inexpensive watch. I highly recommend the 200 meter series. As often stated by other Monster owners.. the Lume on the Monster is unreal. FUN.

Nice photos. Beautiful watches...that is for sure. For me, I love my Pilot Chrono way more than the Mark. For one reason or another I have never really like the squared off hour hand on the Mark. The 3717 on the other hand is IMO perhaps the cleanest looking and most perfect dial, and case (and bracelet) of ANY watch out there. But of course... that is what makes us all 'tick'... different strokes, etc. Wear them well. Has any one who has received thier Pilot Chronos been disappointed? I think not. And oh yea...These ARE the Good Ol' days!!!!

Absolutely my favorite watch!! The datewheel issue is moot as far as I am concerned. I hardly notice it. To send it away JUST to fix this minor problem is unneccesary unless you are 'Mr. Must Be Perfect'. My concern more is for the problems potentially involved with the 7750 movement. If there were such a thing as a date wheel fix that was easy and painless, and you really had to have it, then bring it on...otherwise take what you get..and what you get out of the box is tough to beat ...IMO. What a beautiful watch. Who ever influenced Eddie and his partner to rep this watch was a genius. Who knows, maybe Eddie is the genius.
