  1. Wow! It's that old already? Where does the time go?
  2. Thanks RM! @ P4 - a gen would be nice, but building a franken is pretty fun too
  3. To be honest I am not really sure. It's graced the wrists of quite a few members here I believe, including HackR. I know it started life as a TWP (The Watch Prince) rep. I've modded it with a new thick crown from Oncyte and a Toro Bravo CG. Made a very nice difference. It's vac lumed and it's currently on my favorite strap - Frogman PAV 99. I don't wear it often as I don't want to scratch it up while I'm at work, but I do like to wear it in the summertime with my tan loafers Here's a lume shot:
  4. I never thought I'd like a TAG, but these are really growing on me. I'm very pleasantly surprised by how much I like them!
  5. Well I figured it can't hurt to ask.....of course I realize that its wishful thinking on my part, but you never know. Maybe a miracle has happened
  6. PAM 112h for Friday the 13th. Off to Palm Springs for the weekend
  7. Does the version with the A7750 have the usual sunken DW issue?
  8. Love that bracelet! That looks amazing! Definitely not a fan of the submersible either, but reminds me of the tantalum.
  9. Wow! I am surprised that it's a Seiko strap. It looks really great on that watch! I actually quite like the look of it (and I have not been much of a fan of the big pilot)
  10. Just browsing Josh's site and came across a really great looking Franck Muller Casablanca Chrono using a gen Valjoux 7753 engine. It's kind of pricey at $878.00, but it's quite a looker. Anyone picked this one up yet? Pictures? Thanks!
  11. Welcome Motch. You will be constantly amazed by the vast knowledge here. Try posting pics of the watch in the "Other Brands" section and I'm sure you will get some very valuable responses there. Hope you enjoy your stay here. You should be quite comfortable here
  12. Congrats J! Keep 'em comin!!!
  13. +1 - emailed him about a month ago and got several responses.
  14. The Top Gear episode where Clarkson tests out the new Lotus Evora is pretty awesome. Those guys will entertain for years to come I'm sure! BTW - great article Freddy!
  15. No battery inside, unless you specifically purchased a quartz version. The typical navi rep is an automatic movement so you just need to swirl it gently in your hand about 20 or so times and it should start up. The spinning sound you hear is the rotor which automatically winds the watch as you wear it. Swirl it like you are swirling a good brandy in a brandy snifter. Nice and gentle
  16. Oh man that sucks!! Never leave your watch parts unattended! Poor things. Slartibartfast made a non-snowflake no-date Tudor dial using a waterslide decal. You can see the details here That seems to be the cheapest route to go.
  17. Nice pickup. Looks like it's a great book. I have the PDF that rosnik posted a while back, but it would be great to have the whole thing. Did you pick it up from eBay?
  18. Wow! Simply stunning! Amazing job! You are one lucky new owner Tanya!
  19. I'm no expert on Daytona's, but that case on top looks just wrong. I've never seen lugs on any rolex dip down to such sharp points before. Something seems very wrong there.
  20. I just re-visited the auction and did you notice the seller was offering personal delivery worldwide? I guess for that amount of money, what's a plane ticket?
  21. Looking good Andy! Is the pearl the Ofrei pearl you were talking about?
  22. I doubt there is any forum out there with the vast knowledge of Rolex watches like the experts here. The knowledge base for gen rolex information here is unparalleled.
  23. All watches with a 7750 chrono movement, be it asian or swiss, have an issue where you can mess up the movement if you try to change the date when it is set to any time between around 10pm and 2am. Francisco posted a great posting about this issue. You can find it here http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/112519-look-here-why-you-cannot-change-date-at-midnight/
