  1. Super J! You've got one for each day of the week and each one has a unique look and story behind it! As LHOOQ said, you've got a nice little family there! Thanks for obliging my request to snap a group shot!
  2. Is this the "ultimate" offering from Perfect Clones & Trusty Time? The newest one?

    Air-King

Another beauty J! Really sweet looking. I think you did the right thing leaving the case alone. It fits in nicely with the bracelet and has a very nicely worn & loved look to it!
  8. Wow Euno...that's a beast! Let's see it on the wrist! Wearing my daily beater - Tudor 9411
  9. Happy Birthday D!!! Cheers to you!
  10. Pics will come along in the next few weeks, but basically I have hopefully figured out a way to fit a gen Tropic 127 top hat to this asian case. Basically, the case has a little ridge between the rehaut and the bezel mount which held the original acrylic crystal (which I unfortunately broke when I was removing it). Anyways, the gen crystal is about twice as thick (0.5mm) as the generic one that it is replacing and the opening is only about 0.25mm. I have taken a few crystals to my machinist and we have devised a way to turn down the thickness of the little ring that sets into the watch case. Basically I need to increase the inner diameter of the watch by 0.25mm. My machinist has made a groovy little crystal holder to mount into his lathe so he can remove just a little bit of acrylic off of the inside of the crystal. I should be getting it back later this week or early next week. In addition I managed to find a really nice date wheel overlay (which I hope will fit) so I will have a nice and proper open 6's and 9's (except 26) DW peeking through a proper tropic 127 cyclops
  11. That's a great vid tutorial on how to set a GMT watch. Thanks for posting that BT
  12. That is some serious engineering ingenuity LHOOQ! I love it!! Well done! At least you found a good use for those archaic VHS tapes!
  13. Some of you may remember this post from last summer. Stay tuned for some new developments on my 1680. I've been working on some upgrades for sometime now
  14. WOW! That's some seriously great photoshop skills BT! Nicely done! Oh....and great looking watch too
  15. Ouch....definite sadness Sorry for your loss there. I guess it wasn't really meant to go into the water under the smallest amount of pressure huh?
  16. Man if that is a "haphazard" light box you are using, then you are the man!! The photos are stunning! The lighting is great....the backdrop is really nice....the selective depth of field is stunning......bottom line...A++++++ Pics! What kind of camera are you using? If this is a rigged up photo booth, maybe you could post some how to's for some of the other members to see how you are getting those shots. They are truly great LHOOQ!
  17. So you posted a request for extra links on the 29th, and after waiting a day and a half you just decide to send it back without even discussing it with HackR?? That's quite the interesting solution to your problem there Hank. Sorry but I just don't see this resolving in your favor at this point. People wait months and months to get WM9 watches and you couldn't even wait for a response after a day and half. Did you even try to bump the topic? Sure doesn't look like it to me.
  18. LHOOQ, that first picture at the top of this post is just amazing! I love the backdrop you are using and the angle of the watch really shows off the crystal and its distortion really nicely! Bravo on some amazing photo skills!
  19. While I can totally understand the frustrations from both parties, the fact is that there was a considerable amount of impatience on Hank's end. Clearly he did not wait for Hack to respond to any of the PM's and just went ahead and sent it back. Now you're threatening with a PP dispute without even giving Hack an opportunity to discuss the situation with you. Sorry, but based on the very clear outline Hack posted with both of your PM's, I have to say that you jumped the gun there Hank. I think you are pulling the trigger way before you even have any sort of target in sight. Feel for you R....this sucks
  20. Thanks for the tip upland! I'll check it out. Anyone else have any thoughts on a good place to find a really nice 18mm Black Leather strap and deployant?
  21. Wow Ubi! That grey slate dial is just stunning! How difficult was it to source the WG Bezel?
  22. Wow! Yet another great community build! Definitely one of my favorites as well LHOOQ and you pulled it off beautifully! J did an amazing job with that bezel too! Wear it well and you should be very, very happy with that watch!
  23. Stunning work Merlin! Congrats!
  24. That slate grey dial on the B01 is pretty sweet! I really like the burgandy strap too. It's a great looking combo!
