  1. Wow. Doing some googling and found one sold on watchuseek in May for $100.00! That's a great buy for such a cool looking watch!!
  2. I just love this place! The mad scientists that collaborate here are just amazing! @Sander - that is definitely intriguing! Will they allow for a one off prototype to be made before you have to commit to ordering 10 pieces? It would be good to make sure they can deliver what they promise before gathering $7k for 10 cases.
  3. Watch-International just posted this one here I'm definitely no Omega expert, but they look pretty decent. As always, it's a little hard to judge colors, etc. with the poorly lit pictures, but I think they look pretty good. Here's another shot of the Gen in black:
  4. What's the story on this one Bike Mike? That's a beauty!!! Congrats on your 1000th post!!
  5. Amazing aging job on that Dizzy! I am really blown away with what you did from what you had to work with! Nicely done! That's a definite keeper!
  6. Hey Stephane. I hear Virgin Airlines is a fun way to fly! You could always fly out here! I'd be happy to come pick you up at the Airport
  7. Definitely one of my favorites! It looks great on the mesh! Nice choice!!! Congrats on your new piece.
  8. It's too bad you are all booked up for the September 12th GTG. I would love to see this one in person!
  9. Which version is it? The newest one with Voiceover has a method for selecting the playlist, but I will have to consult my manual.
  10. Come folks! Sunday night at Disneyland! Who could ask for anything better?
  11. The aberrations in the reflections on the GS look so much nicer. I would imagine that clarity and sharpness would be much improved if you installed a GS on the 1016. Very, very nice comparison!! Thanks to both you and Automatico!! Question for you: what's the price difference between the two?
  12. Let's get some more folks together here guys & gals!
  13. Frogman will be releasing a PAV 98 soon which will be awesome. I have his PAV 99 on my 112h and I just love it!
  14. Wow great review! The case details are superb! Definite for the case!! Nice to see the extra effort going into some of these releases lately
  15. Wow. Now that is definitely how you buy a Milsub watch! Nice to see the intermediary got some champagne out of the deal
  16. UPDATE: QC seems to be working out quite nicely! Expressed my concerns about the crown on the Cartier to Joshua and they found another watch and sent new pics. Crown looks way better on this one and everything else looked good. I approved the order so I hope to receive it soon! I must admit I am very pleased thus far with the new QC procedures that Joshua has adopted
  17. Anyone know of a source for Gen Santos 100 parts? Specifically I am looking for a gen crown. I have sourced a couple but I really need to know the correct part number for the 38mm Men's Santos 100. Thanks!
  18. Hello fellow SoCal members. Ubi is coming to town and has graciously agreed to meet up for a small GTG while he is in town. We are looking at the evening of September 12th, 2010 in Anaheim. I am thinking of making arrangements for a group of us to meet at the Hearthstone Lodge in the Grand Californian Hotel. I am open to suggestions if anyone can think of a more suitable location. Maybe somewhere in Downtown Disney? Let me know if anyone has any thoughts and I hope to see some of you SoCal folks there! UPDATE: Ok guys - here's the plan: Hearthstone Lounge - Grand Californian Hotel 1600 S Disneyland Dr Anaheim, CA 92803 8pm Parking is a little interesting. Because Hearthstone doesn't validate, DO NOT VALET your car!!! They will charge you $17.00/hr for parking. If you park at Downtown Disney, the hotel is about a 5 minute walk and the first 3 hours is free. After 3 hours, parking is $2.00 per 20 minutes or $6.00/hr. However, if you want to get there early for dinner, and eat at the Napa Rose (which is supposed to be a pretty decent spot) then the Valet is free for 5 hours. If you choose to do that, and you can afford it, sit at the Chef's Counter and do the custom menu ($85 per person). For an extra $45 you can get four or five wine flights, and they are pretty generous with the pour. The Hearthstone is a lounge, so they have plenty of drink options as well as bar appetizers. They don't have a traditional dinner menu so we won't be eating a full dinner here. They also don't take reservations, but the hotel is only at about 76% occupancy so I'm told we will probably be just fine. I will arrive a little earlier to try and snag a section for us. Just because I really hate feeling like an idiot when i go to a GTG, if you are looking around, and you see a rather tall portly fellow with very short grey hair and glasses, then you've probably found me
  19. That is a beauty! Can't wait to start seeing these crop up
  20. I got an email today from Joshua with QC pictures and a picture of the shipping label to confirm that my address information is correct. Interesting to note: the QC email has a "Terms & Conditions" attached to it indicating that since pictures were sent out that there will be no refunds or exchanges. There is a picture showing the watch on a timer so they also state that DOA claims should be taken up with the courier, however as long as it is reported within 24-48 hours of receiving the watch they will work to either repair or replace the broken watch. I also noted to Joshua that the cabachon crown jewel on the Santos looks to be off so it will be interesting to see if they do anything to fix that flaw. I'll keep you all posted
  21. Looking really good Cats! Can't wait to get mine
