  1. Amazing! Only comment I would make is that the markers at 3 - 6 - 9 need to be a little bit longer. The hour hand tip should line up with the end of the marker. Also, the seconds hand should intersect those markers in the middle of the diamond shaped top of the hand.
  2. Yup... it is printed and some of the printing is wearing off. Not surprising really - but I really don't care about the movement to be honest. The case build quality, the dial quality and CG quality were my main concerns really. I will probably swap out the movement for my swiss one with asian bridges. Still debating on that one.
  3. Thanks everyone! I'm really pleased with this one. A lot of watch for the money, that's for sure. These H-Factory PAM's are really amazing!
  4. Hello folks, Well it's been a while since I've done one of these, but I figured the new H-Factory PAM 112M deserved a shining review! I got this one from Andrew @ Trustytime. Service was great and shipping, as usual, was extremely fast! Once I got it, I immediately put on my GEN black calf strap with tang buckle and it is a great combo. As you all know, the biggest issue with the sandwich dial PAM's has always been the font. The 6 & 9 have always been off (it seems like they just copied the font style of the sausage dial - which is NOT the same). My original 112H that I had has this flaw, and unfortunately, once it was pointed out to me I just couldn't deal with it anymore (I know I am being too picky). Anyways, the H-factory has been putting out some incredible reps lately, and this new 112M is no exception. It is quite amazing to me. The dial texture is excellent, the lume is superb and on par with my previous 112H dial which is vaclumed. The roller CG is nice and tight and when you release it, the crown comes out away from the hex tube nicely. Winding is smooth and creamy too. Since I haven't seen too many gens, I can't really comment on the quality of the "platinum plated" movement, but it sure does look pretty nice. Enough of my ramblings. As usual, I'll let the pictures do the talking LUME!!!! (shot at F4 and 1/8 shutter speed) Comparison to my vaclumed 112H After 10 minutes - Same Camera Settings And the wristie
  5. Amazing story! It just goes to show you are only as young or old as you let yourself be!
  6. Stunning... and yes... please share some more details on what you did? Love that dome!!!!
  7. New new new!!!! Finally got my new H-factory PAM 112m in while I was away on vacation. Pics and review to come along later on today (if I can find the time.) Wearing this one on my gen black calf strap with tang buckle.
  8. I've considered it too actually. What would you recommend is a good starting point? Is it possible to get into it cheaply?
  9. First of all.... CONGRATULATIONS! You're search more than paid off as that is a fine example of such a nice vintage Heuer! Secondly, as usual, your photos are superb and your story to go with it was excellent. I am always sucked in to your back story about each watch you purchase/build. Nicely done!
  10. Well then, if that's the case, then maybe that watch isn't for you. Can I recommend a nice casio perhaps?
  11. The 112 doesn't even have a running seconds hand, so how are you even going to know if its within +/- 20 seconds? It's a rep! Enjoy it for what it is. If you wake up the next morning at 8am and the watch says 8am, then it's working
  12. Couldn't agree more with you Ubi. Lately i've been in a bit of an internet slump. I find I do my rounds of my few favorite sites a lot quicker than usual and end up bored and moving on to something else. As for this hobby, I have a couple of projects on the go at the moment, but i've run out of things I want to build/try. I guess it comes in waves, but I am definitely in a slump at the moment.
  13. Now that's a looker! Nicely done and some great parts thrown in there! Love that NOS bezel! Looks fantastic! P.S. I wish you guys would stop building these damn daytonas! You are all making me want one each time I see them!
  14. With your help, I've built my grail I just love my 9411 and I can't wait to get it back from the spa for a much needed service. Other than that, other's have come and gone and I have a deep appreciation for others, but the 9411 will always be around. If I can just find the movement, the Breitling Spatiographe is definitely next on the list

  20. Yes he is. I've pm'd him, but he hasn't been around since may so I don't know if he'll get the message. I'm actually staying in Kitchener/Waterloo for my trip, so if that is more convenient for people, let me know?
