  1. Some Mg reps only have a green ring around the crystal, to fake the look of a green tinted crystal.
  2. vacheron constantin overseas white dial
  3. From 0100 to 0200 GMT, the site grinds to a halt due to some bogglingly intense maintenance routines. Were you trying to use RWG during that time? (right now as a matter of fact) Im going to try and show ADMIN the html issue .. lets see if it still exists <br><br>edit: I can see HTML line breaks" &lt; br &gt; " all over the bottom of this post<br>
  4. "Emily" and "Cosmia" by Joanna Newsom from the album "Ys"
  5. The built-in forum editor is having some problems today. I can't use typefaces, bold, emoticons ... without a lot of HTML garbage being inserted by the editor.
  6. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; <img class="bbc_emoticon" alt="" src="http://www.rwgforum.com/public/style_emoticons/default/rofl.gif"><br>
  7. This one, all day today. Trying to make it look 40yrs old
  8. The 4th gen 42mm Planet Ocean can accept genuine parts from Omega, which are very easy to buy online. The other 42mm POs out there are not designed to accept gen parts.
  9. Welcome! Lets see some of your collection!
  10. You probably already see that the chrono dials are waaay off on the quartz rep. They are gathered together and touching, which ruins the whole look in my opinion.
  11. That's a handsome watch, even if it looks like it was inked with an overloaded stamp pad.
  12. Many people seem to think that the size and weight of the 42mm version is "perfect", but of course if you like a larger watch the 45mm is the way to go. I own both .. don't let the 3mm difference fool you. The 45mm watch wears LARGER than you would expect, for only a 3mm difference. For the price Narikaa charges, get one of each
  13. I bake every watch I ship inside of a delicious fruitcake.
  14. maxman - he was correcting the OP ... there is no 42mm UPO. UPO refers only to the 45mm version. Yes you can buy a 42mm Planet Ocean but it's not a UPO. Those only come in 45mm.
  15. Asian ETA clone ... could just need a simple cleaning. I'd spring for the cost of an inspection and service to set this little baby right without a second thought. Worst case is your watchsmith drops in a new $40 movement and away you go. I'm going to PM you some info. Look for it.
  16. KB runs kind-of a "mom and pop" operation, with no official web site full of honey shots. But he is very attentive to customer's needs, prices more than fairly, and ships quickly. If you consider yourself a more advanced kind of user, and are willing to use email instead of a web site then I believe you'll be very happy. FWIW out of curiosity, I looked at one of the above-named rep web sites and saw something I really had to have .. so I emailed KB and asked him to quote me a price along with a photo of the item from the fancy web site, and was pleasantly surprised when his number was A LOT less .. not a little less .. A LOT LESS than the fancy web site number.
  17. The 7750 movement family both Swiss, and Asian has around 200 parts. It's recommended that people who buy such a complicated piece of micro-machinery have it checked out by a professional before any serious usage. More commonplace movements don't require this kind of kid glove handling. Some vendors do in fact offer service as part of the sale, but you have absolutely no proof of the quality or even existence of such a service, and it's generally viewed as a waste of your money. Locate the modders in your region of the world, and use them. It's part of the hobby. More mundane watches should be worn for a month or two and then, if you believe it's a true "keeper", have it serviced as well. That should keep it running for 5 years.
  18. The Zigmeister has "case and bracelet restoration" on his pricing sheets.
  19. No matter how silly you think it is, it's also reality. Complete lack of QC and poor storage conditions for bulk-purchased movements. Why did you think you were only spending 1/10th the price of a real model?
  20. BTW I purchased a Burberry ladies trench for my wife from Bergie, and it was fabulously rendered down to the bag, and hang tags. Unfortunately I ordered a size too small, and sold it on to a very happy woman who is shorter than my 6-foot tall wife.
  21. dahonam - it may or may not be against Forum rules, but when someone's 1st post asks about or names alternate replica sites, normally people just assume it's some spammer advertising their own rip-off web sites hoping to catch a few unsuspecting newbs.
