  1. +100 It's appalling a member of RG staff comes here to public scorn the very helpful and competent admin team for not dropping everything and running to your rescue. 1) as a member of the staff at RG you should know how demanding it can be 2) not being a noob you know what actions to take on your own 3) demanding a fast turn around for your little problem with a public call while you contribute nothing here (unless is to make excuses for the problems at RG) is really of bad taste. Maybe you should limit your deals with members of your own board so you don't need to depend on the admin team here. It's funny though, you go filling PP disputes just because you don't have the patience to wait for the member or the admins to respond. Well, I can't say I'm surprised.
  2. I was able to remove some nasty scratches with diamond paste but only with mineral crystal. With sapphire I'm not sure you will get it done in my lifetime not sure about the windshield stuff. I suspect it would leave a weird dirty spot worse than the crown.
  3. removing that etching with diamond paste will be quite a challenge.
  4. I've looked into the dial and honestly it is not worth the money. The improvement is minimal. The only worthwhile mod is the OEM insert (but kind of a pain to do). Most folks will check the pearl first and I have not seen one that looks as good as the OEM.
  5. The OEM crystal won't fit since the rehaut design is different from the gen. That's the main thing the defunct WM9 project (the one he ran away with people's money) was suppose to fix.
  6. Strangely enough this looks like a 7750 based rep, which is incorrect for the Santos chrono. Do you change the date with the button at 10 o'clock or via the crown? If it's a 7750 rep I'm not sure it's very desirable.
  7. not a very good rep. Poor strap, poor cabochon, sunken DW,
  8. That's correct. The new version has a silver movement with the golden rotor. Models with all gold movements are probably an older version.
  9. since the bracelet works, I'd say yes
  10. I can check but I believe the engineering constraints will dictate 40°. I have to search my notes though.
  11. the name, it has an V3 next to ROO now.
  12. that's correct, you need the longer parts to go over the DD module and those are not easy or cheap to find.
  13. the watch is very impressive on your wrist but it's only for those that like big watches like the Ploprof and the Grahams,
  14. yep, the CG is a let down. Shape, pin, ... no reason why take all the effort with the rest of the case and put that CG there. Pity indeed. I wonder if we can find a lume shot of the gen.
  15. the quick date set and the chrono pushers have to be screw in to be water tight in the gen. You need that tool to screw in and out the quick date set button. That's why the inside of that button is hex.
  16. This is the 3120. If I had one I'd put on my Royal Oak display caseback though not on a closed caseback and if you could have access to AP's facilities you could get close to one of these
  17. with a time machine I'd cash on tons of lotto wins, get to $1B and buy any watch I want
  18. the only question I have is: why? what an ugly piece of excess.
  19. Yes, the regular DSSD rep (including BKs) the rehaut is engraved (thicker than the gen I might add) and a simple careful application of black enamel would fix it (unless this is a defective one that has an F instead of E, which I doubt). As for the 50, I would not touch that. It's barely visible (most people would confuse that with some dirt on the watch) and matching that color with enamel is a little more involved. Doable but requires experience.
  20. the scary part was: "set to have started with a few seniors that couldn't qualify for driver's licenses".
  21. just remove and reset the hand.
