Is the guy doing ok? Bone marrow transplants take a lot out of a person (my wife is still recovering from her September transplant) and there is both acute and chronic Graft vs Host disease to contend with. The patient is very closely monitored for at least 100 days afterwards and it's a long road back to feeling normal. Pretty cool. I am growing more and more fond of quartz watches - it's nice to grab and go and not worry about power reserve, servicing, damage, etc.

Hopefully he is doing ok. My wife underwent a bone marrow transplant for leukemia in September, so I am well-versed in what it's like to endure that. She's been in and out of the hospital since April and I think the extended waiting time was actually responsible for getting me back into the watch world! After a couple year break from buying/selling/reading about watches, I started revisiting WUS and the rep sites to try to kill time. The forums have proved to be a great distraction for me and are helping keep me sane.

You mean passing off the reps as genuine products? I suppose that would be the intent, for something that inexpensive. I think the point is that counterfeit products are available at all price ranges.

The sole reason I take pics in my car is because I'm a terrible photographer and the only ones I can get to come out half decent are taken inside the car. I assume it's a lighting thing that makes the pics look better. It's certainly not my car, which is a 10yo Audi.

I think the white on black date wheel looks so much better than black on white. I'm surprised that more OEM's didn't choose to do it this way.

What is it about the dial that makes it a dead giveaway? The bracelet is tacky, but any fool with a gen can have theirs polished for extra guido factor.

"Fantasy model" is a more accurate description. An homage does not feature the original's branding.
