  1. I headed out this morning on a 5 day beach and snorkeling adventure. I have access to nothing! I have limited access to internet. Very slow. This morning, as I jumped in, I noticed my crown was not screwed all the way in. And now, there's some fog in there. What can I do? As I said, I'm in the middle of nowhere for 5 days! For now, I've left it unscrewed and put it with my socks. I would do a search but internet out here is Middle Ages! Thanks
  2. Congrats MOAB! I also assumed he was already!!!
  3. I love this!! The seller appears to be Stefano Mazzariol. I now think my 5514 is all gen too!!
  4. Sorry to hear it. That's why I stopped buying from the dealers directly. The M2M is a great place to buy and you can get stuff already modded. It may take a little longer to wait for the exact watch you want but at least you get hi-res pics and as many as the seller can provide!
  5. wow, that's actually a good price. Maybe the option is that you put it on a Rubber B and lost it...
  6. Well, now I've seen it all! So far it's still "fantastic and great looking find" Let's check in by the weekend where he will likely get torn apart by Kamal!!! Seriously, if that thing is legit, it does look beautiful especially with a blue insert. But what are the odds that he just happened to have a matching blue insert on hand? I will be watching this.
  7. It's your project - do what you want and enjoy it. But be forewarned that you will likely lose money if you try to resell. If it's a keeper and a submariner is a grail, then go ahead.
  8. i did not realize that the Daytonas were NOT part of the dispute.
  9. Just caught up on this thread. Once again, I learned so something. Incredible wealth of knowledge here! I'm hoping 2014 is the year of the big crown for my collection. It's clearly lacking... That and a 1016.
  10. Very nice., every time I see one of these builds, I wonder why I have not gotten around to it. It seems like the 1016 is forever on my todo list but never gets started.
  11. Congrats Cc. I'm sure you'll turn this into a real gem.
  12. Stick to the m2m. I have not purchased from a dealer in a while and only had one problem. I did send it back with tracking of course and it was replaced.
  13. Thanks, I ordered the $4 one. I figure I will keep it in a ziplock bag after using it!
  14. I have looked for these. Where do you find it? Thanks
  15. OMG! They have pictures of a Yuki 3135 movement. I still don't get what they are selling. Homage watches or "upgraded" Rolex (that is so funny) where they keep the genuine movement and then add the Royal Custom Watch branding. I can't wait to tell everyone that it's actually a Rolex under the hood!!
  16. As others have said, gen dial & movement is a must. However, for a vintage Rolex like a Newman, Comex or Double-Red, a high-quality aftermarket dial like MQ would do. It's funny that a few have mentionned a genuine mid-case - that's normally the one part that is not gen in many Franken builds.
  17. It's a Phong 5514 case. Thanks
