  1. It has always been Rolex's policy not to confirm or deny anything relating to the design, construction or success of their products that has not been officially announced or put into print.

    DW's 7750-powered & fully-assembled Daytonas have been a best buy for years.
  3. Ditto & he was kicked out of TZ a few years ago (not sure why). I suspect he is also a member of some rep forums.
  4. Yes, but it is not gen (sourced from Phong) & I sent it back because the coronet & placement were all wrong. (Strangely, Phong replaced the original sample caseback on his website (which was quite accurate & what I was expecting to receive with my case ) with my old 333 caseback.) I am awaiting another swap with a caseback similar to the replacement Phong sent Ubi, which is considerably more accurate. But, as I said, only someone with access to alot of gen Comexes would know the correct 3 (serial number) font sizes. Here is a gen for reference & here is the replacement Ubi received from Phong (which is what I am hoping to receive also - but with my 333 number)
  5. Let them film you regulating a movement. Simple procedure that looks very technical, but requires no disassembly.
  6. Thanks, but that watch was completed 3 years ago. You just noticed it now?
  7. No. Neither Rolex nor Comex have ever released specs on Comex lettering. You might try posting your question to a gen Rolex forum, but there are only a few people who own enough gen Comexes to know, but my guess is they will not tell you anyway. I think that if you have the correct fonts & coronet style & everything is placed where it should be on the caseback, being in the ballpark will be close enough.
  8. You can find video reviews detailing the YMII's functions on youtube.
  9. I prefer the version with indented bezel numbers, but I, too, like the white YMII. I doubt whether I would ever have the nerve to wear such a loud watch in public, but I think it would look great in 1 of my cases.
  10. Preaching to the choir here. There are many threads championing these wonderful watches
  11. They vary depending on model. Your best bet is to buy a Rolex parts catalog reprint on ebay.
  12. If the watch stopped after being dropped, you probably broke (or dislodged) 1 of the balance cap jewels in the shock mount. If you damaged a jewel in the auto-wind module, the watch might not to auto-wind, but it does not usually stop the watch.
  13. Search out Ziggy's reviews on the secs @ 6 7750.
  14. Nice work, but you should dull/matte its external finish. I have also found that fitting a bit of shrink wrap tube around cap helps to seal the valve & fills in a bit of the empty space.
  15. There are more guns per capita in Israel than just about anywhere else & (non-military/terrorist) gun-related crime is rare. Gun violence is due to cultural pathology, not firearms.
  16. & I am a lifelong democrat.
  17. You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges. You are carrying a Glock .40 and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do? Liberal Answer: Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have an appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun and what kind of message does this send to society and my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me or would he just be content to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion. Conservative Answer: BANG! Texan's Answer: BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click... (sounds of reloading). Wife: "Sweetheart, he looks like he's still moving, what do you kids think?" Son: "Mom's right Dad, I saw it too..." BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! click. Daughter: "Nice group, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips?"
