  1. Sorry D, I was on Tapatalk and banned the SOB and told it "DO NOT DELETE HIS POSTS" and what did it do? Why of course it deleted all his posts. Not to worry, you're not crazy. Yet.
  2. And with that, I believe it's all been said. PS: buy raffle tickets!
  3. Hey Ezio, are you up for Red Flag? Let me know if you spend time at Elmendorf/JBER, I'll take you out for burgers and beer. AKTime, some of those are over the Tanana, the others are *cough* elsewhere. These ought to look familiar...
  4. No, the bays are too small so we load them with last year's nasty "expired" salmon. *splat* Utterly effective.
  5. I bought MQ's "best quality" band and it came with 80 endlinks. One was an adequate fit, the other was too fat to go between the lugs. The endlinks are so flimsy you can bend them with a pencil and your thumb. One thing to check: a gen band has a nice transition from the case to endlink to bracelet. The midline of the lug when viewed from the side flows through the springbar hole, then right down the centerline of the band (again when viewed from the side). This makes a smooth "face" to the band down the endlink and onto the band proper. The MQ and Yuki bands have their endlinks attached weird so the centerline of the band (viewed from the side) sticks up above the centerline of the springbar hole. This presents the "face" of the band above the "face" of the endlink and you can see the "end" of the band itself sticking up. It looks odd, and is immediately recognizable. In this photo you shouldn't see the places where the green lines touch, they should be hidden and not visible.
  6. A Norsk! Well that explains your excellent taste in watches.
  7. What a beauty! Does it have the turtle caseback?
  8. I figure if you can read a newspaper through the gap it's time to think about replacing the endlink.
  9. Welcome aboard, mate. A word of advice, don't mention the "s" word too much (spanking) or you'll bring Miss Understood out of her gin-induced stupor.
  10. Ooooooo that Compressor is nice! Here's my paltry contribution to the Wristapalooza....
  11. Group shot? Here's some of them, with the Big Gonzo taking front row (of course, he's a pushy bugger)
  12. Hey Max, how about an early 1680?
  13. Hey Luke, how are the heart palpitations?
  14. On the southwest approach to McHugh Peak this afternoon.
  15. Hawks are smokin!! Funny how people thinks its a big deal to play outdoors in single digits. I played for decades and never once played a game indoors.
  16. "Painful" doesn't begin to describe it. I've been talking to a friend who is in negotiations for a vintage Rolex part ... one part ... that costs nearly as much as my Land Rover did.
  17. Arrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............. Thanks Freddy, I guess I'll have to learn to like it.
  18. I have this MkIII fattie on the Big Gonzo. It's faded to a blue/grey but it's a little too "blue" for my taste. This picture exaggerates the effect. If you come up with another fattie that's black and want to trade ... let me know.
  19. Banned. Thank you gentlemen, for being gentlemen about this.
  20. Archie? AJ? P153? SeaDweller? Are you satisfied with the information you have at this time?
  21. Gentlemen, do you know of any outstanding issues still needing resolution with Messi10? Anyone still needing access to him via PM? I'm ready to drop the hammer. If anyone needs me to wait awhile, speak up. We don't need this crap here. Thank you gentlemen for attempting to teach this guy some manners.
  22. I got lucky, he was right off the back deck. It's a huge grey owl, and his mate was down the mountain hooting back. What a treat listening to them!
