  1. After nearly a week of the PO, I chucked the speedy on...
  2. I have a 1665 and 1680 both of which have gen inserts, crystals, crown, tubes, some cg work and lug holes drilled. The 1665 currently has a flat t39 on it at the moment. This bond has gen dial, hands, crown, tube and a eta 2892 movement. This has got some gen hands. This started as a first gen 111, since then case received a pvd coating by palp, davidsen dial and longer pinion and hour wheel. (111H SL dial will be going very soon for a change!) I have also killed the 6 subdial on my speedy and spent ages changing most parts on a mbw lv that I bought a few years ago but most of the new lv's would probably be just as accurate now. Apart from those I have also SL my 183 and fiddy and changed to the longer pinions and hour wheels. @doc is that saabins?
  3. Ta Chris, the new 45mm versions really are worth it @jd6753, Great pic!
  4. This arrived during the week, I can see it becoming a new favorite
  5. Great pics and nice watch! Keep em coming
  6. Had the speedy on! Gotta love that movement...
  7. Nice collections and shots Here are mine, minus the porto, a 1680 which is in bits and a new... larger PO.
  8. Have not got too many shots of display backs handy apart from the speedy...
  9. No cousins is in the UK, sorry I should have looked under your name to see where you were. Glad to have been able to help...... just use the right screwdriver next time!
  10. Those wont work as they are from the wrong caliber, you would be best ordering from ofrei or cousins depending on where you are. Off the top of my head I think the part number is 401/2836-2, they are only a few bucks so get a few as you may need them in the future. Glad you got the keyless works sorted feel free to pm me if you need any help.
  11. Ingy...
  12. Probably 5.5, I service all my movements myself apart from the chronographs (they separate the men from the boys! ) and have done most case mods but would never consider myself anywhere near the level of The Zigmeister. I love ripping in and having a go.... bloody hell I will try anything three times
  13. Great stuff Ubi! You can put me down for two, thanks for putting this together.
  14. You would probably need a crystal press if not for removal then to seat it properly in the gasket. In my experience it can be difficult to remove a crystal with your thumbs, though I am sure it could be done. From memory I think edge pushed out a plastic crystal which is very different to a sapphire crystal seated in a gasket. All though to remove the crystal you must take out the movement etc. Here is a thread from Rob that pretty much explains how to remove one Here
  15. This is also my experience with them, my 1665 which I bought from maria a couple of years ago could change tubes no problems but recently ordered a 1680 from them and it stripped the first tube I tried to insert. I only last night got around to retapping the case and tubes now screw straight in Its not a big deal to fix it just took forever for the tap set to arrive..... in the mean time you have to sit there and look at in pieces
  16. I also prefer the white 1665!
  17. I did notice yesterday during lunch an interview with Ian "Beefy" Botham where he was sporting a pam, it seemed to be either a 111 or a base model. Wonder if it was gen Beefy are you here?
  18. This is great news if TTK can source these, it would be good for the community to have a dealer on this site who could supply them (maria long since left these boards, I don't even know where to find george and lets not forget good old luckyyyy!)
  19. Generally you should set the hands to 12 before removal but it seems you are swapping two different movements over, you could adjust the time till the date ticks over on the new one as that will be 12. Edit... sorry I missed the bit about the movement not hacking, what type of ETA is it?
  20. Nice, I have the older version which still gets its share of wrist time... but looking at these makes me want to upgrade! Great pics also
  21. You can put me down for one
  22. Good job, the pics are great I especially like the way the FM dial came out.
  23. I will be wearing this one... it started as a first gen 111 from EL I then sent case to palp for pvd, installed a davidsen dial and hands and bought a longer canon pinion and hour wheel from The Zigmeister which were installed when I swapped the dials. Its been like this for a while now its time for a change again and a 111h dial has just arrived from Josh so time to break out the superlume! (the lume difference between dial and hands bugs me )
  24. Very nice The dial and hands do make a difference, I like the fact parts for Omegas so much easier to source than say trying to find a rollie vintage insert.
  25. Some old pics but will be probably be wearing my LV...
