  1. AFAIK the new LMPO is made by the Noob factory, Josh doesn't sell Noob factory watches. Josh has a long history of trashing the Noob factory, even as much as saying that the Noob factory was closed.... Try Puretime, Torobravo, etc as they do sell Noob watches.
  2. It's basically a private, digital currency.
  3. Next time, hang upside down when your taking the pics. That's the only way you'll prevent this from happening in the future, seriously...
  4. Go take a look at the Black Bay thread on RepGeek, you can see the condition that the Gen dial is in after the makers have "had their way with it". It's not destroyed but it is not in good condition...
  5. What they said, has to go they customs before can enter the US. It will likely show up in your mailbox before the tracking updates.
  6. Just my $0.02, don't hit the big red button that says "Ban the guy!"
  7. I gather that the admin wants the place to run (as much as feasible) by itself. We have been promised upgrades in the past and they didn't happen. Some of it has to do with payment collection issues, but I just gather they want the place to "grow" organically.
  8. Of course, forum members are but a minority of the dealers customer base, many people would look at it as getting a $10,000 watch for only $500 and consider it a bargain! Who's to say that their wrong. I'm not that old of a member, but even I recall the price of reps being about $300 at the top end, and that was only a few years ago. I'm willing to get a nice homage or micro brand, most of the rep buyers won't since they aren't looking for a cool watch, they're looking for a "Rolex" to impress their friends or maintain an image that they cannot truly afford.
  9. Most governments don't want to have the private currency market thrive as this then undermines their ability to maintain many of the economic policies/restrictions that they otherwise would use to govern.
  10. Could always get some hot water in a ziplock bag and put over the crown. That way you get the heat without the liquid (H2O or EtOH).
  11. I just ordered one, $328 for an A2836. And I agree, beautiful watch. But as others have said at $500 it needs to have significant quality checks in place, not sure if the rep industry is ready or able to have actual QC. That is counter to their business model, make watch as cheap as possible to make as much profit as possible. That said, I'll be looking at that Ocean model P153 showed...
  12. I got one of those kits from Watch Bitz (Offshore) and some items are just what I need quality wise and some are not so good quality wise. Don't know if I'd buy again if I had it to do over. Overall I'd say it's fairly priced for the quality, just think that I'd recommend buying some ala cart tools from Bergon (or similar) rather than a kit. Several guys like the kit from TimeZone (Ofrei), it's mostly Bergon stuff so pricey and quality. It doesn't have as much of a variety for about twice as much so the question is what tools do you want and see what is the best quality you can afford but not necesicary to over spend unless your going to turn pro later.
  13. Curious if it's loosing time since the main spring can't provide enought power to run both the movement (time) and the chronograph? Have you tried either keeping it on a winder or manually winding it to give it as much of a wind as possible and see if it is still loosing time?
  14. Classic, I might use this in the future.
  15. Yikes, thought CNY was a bit later than this, just placed an order. Probably won't see the watch for several months.
  16. Droptop - if you want less of a headache can go the easy route and get this homage: http://m.ebay.com/itm/221340802669?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1 These vintage rolex builds usually get pricey and it cause a bit of frustration for the guys building them.
  17. Fitmic - Don't know if this helps but considering this is a 5 year old post the parts might have changed on the site....
  18. I had a similar type of issue on my EXP II and what I did was remove the bezel, dunk it it paint thinner to remove the numbers, brush the bezel and then paint the numbers. The numbers took me a couple tries and in the end I am satisfied with the color better than the original color. It might give you better piece of mind to factor in re-painting the bezel from the start of true project rather than stressing while brushing the bezel in fear of ruining the numbers.
  19. Have your tried tracking it on the USPS website? Sometimes after it reaches the US, EMS stops showing any activity. It should be close to delivery, but with the holidays and weather a bunch of packages are slow to arrive his time of year. Check it out and let us know!
  20. +1 to the white lightning, better than actual oil.
  21. If it's plated then yes it does have a problem of wearing off over time, how long is a factor of several things like thickness of plating, your skin chemistry, how rough you treat the item etc. Also there is no such thing as white gold plating. White gold is an alloy of gold with a high nickel content that is then rhodium plated for a high luster.
  22. Ok, calling off the hounds! You know instead of looking on the sales forum, I could just e-mail you to see if you have it and if we can strike a deal!
