  1. It is his son's site 100%
  2. Don't buy one from a trusted dealer, they aren't correct, just too many issues. If I were you I would frequent the sales section of this forum and wait for a vintage watch to come up for sale that someone else built.
  3. Phong has crowns, the hands and dial are really up to personal taste or budget... Minh has some dials but the feet are for gen movements, you would have to use a cheaper dial that has feet for eta movements, then you would have to use a cheaper case because phong's is for a 1030. Play with a yuki 6538 if you want and when you decide to make a high end one then use a phong case, 1030 movement and I can set you up with a better dial then any of these guys. The bait and switch for me was that the dial sent to me wasn't the one in the pics on his site. The dial plate has to be 27mm in diameter so if it's a vintage 1030 plate with that diameter it's ok to use.
  4. He did that bait and switch with me and I was not amused, we eventually got it sorted out (never got the high quality dial I paid for though) Just a note to add,, Phong seems to abide by a greater set of standards, he goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Minh is harder to communicate with (English is not as good as phong's) so sometimes things get lost in translation. My advice for what it's worth guys, buy parts from phong and dials from Minh. Phong's dials suck so we really have no choice, write in simple English and be clear about what you want, he will send you something, check it and make sure it's exactly what you ordered when you get it.
  5. They are really the same, mq and ndt are very closely related whatever one offered you is the same as the other will have.
  6. Looking amazing with the dark insert! Aloha!
  7. Cwp stands for classic watch parts owned by Michael Young from china
  8. So you're the one who bought it! You hit a homerun again, and you have one hell of a pair!! Enjoy them both
  9. Hey bud, was a well deserved break! I don't like the white seconds hand, I prefer full gilt but to each their own.. The white seconds hand just needs a tiny bit of ageing to look genuine, if yours is too far-gone ask ivan for a gilt seconds hand, you may like the look more. Mendota, I'll start a new thread later detailing my build and a basic recipe that people can follow to achieve the same result
  10. The hands you have from cwp are good, they may need a little ageing that's all. They are brass underneath..
