  1. OK thats truly a beauty on the wrist. Congrats mate!
  2. For subdial hands go with rep ones. I do not see the value of having mikey ones as well. I tread softly along the fine line separating raving insanity and lucid moments of ingenuity. The issue is I've no idea which is which mostly.

  4. Thanks mate, you have one of the most lovely ROO frankens in the business. Well done, and keep us updated.
  5. None of the aftermarket hands today stack (pun intended) up to gen hands. The gen hands in the stainless steel models are crafted from white gold. The shine and finish from any angle is inimitable by any rep or aftermarket hands, Mikey ones included. The "pyramid stack" that my friend @QueTipspoke of is another tell for the newer generation ROOs. The F series ROO gen hands are closer to what Mikey hands are emulating. The G series onwards have the distinctive pyramid stack, polished to a high gloss and beveled perfectly when stacked. This is again missing in the Mikey hands. I agree also with quetip that the Mikey hands are proportioned differently from gen hands. In addition to what he has said, the stem connecting the hand to the hands base looks different in the Mikey version. In short, there is simply no substitute for gen ROO hands. The differences are both subtle, and yet glaring for those who know them. H series gen hands. I tread softly along the fine line separating raving insanity and lucid moments of ingenuity. 6. Guys so sorry I have been away from the forum due to work issues. Let me know the current situation and if you still need help! Once again my sincere apologies, I did not mean to be rude!
  7. For the 15400 rep, it is generally very well done, and one of very good quality to be honest. The thickness would not be an issue on the wrist, as a salient portion of the extra thickness comes from the caseback and most of the time, this is just not noticeable on the wrist. The thickness is apparent when the watch isn't worn, and placed side by side vs the gen, on the table for example. The only real issue with the replica, in my opinion, is the datewheel font. I would prefer an A2824 movement transplanted to the watch, and by doing so, aftermarket datewheels like Edge's or the omega datewheel can be used. The JF V2 15400 is an excellent choice and currently the best on the market in terms of case construction and finish, which is mostly what this watch is about.

  13. It would not fit a miyota movement so if your 15400 is using that, it would not fit. It can however fit a 2824 movement. I tread softly along the fine line separating raving insanity and lucid moments of ingenuity. The issue is I've no idea which is which mostly.

  23. Actually I do not know if you're being sarcastic or not lol. But the Swiss mainspring mod is a simple one. It replaces the weaker Asian mainspring with a stronger Swiss one. The higher tensile spring gives it more force to overcome the friction presented at the transfer gears in the A7750 movement. It also facilitates a better power reserve for the movement and overall better reliability. A simple idea really. Shouldn't elicit so many wows or exclamation marks haha.
