This is definitely the best wrist shot I've taken. It's a terrible shot technically but otherwise... amazing! It looks like my son was thinking "Wow, dad has a BIG watch!" A bit better shot technically... more I look at this rep, the less convinced I am that I need the gen.

Great review of a very attractive watch. Aquraracer chrono has very light bracelet as well. I believe it has been done on purpose (to reduce weight) as it's a hardcore diver watch, after all. It would be nice to know how much off the blue dial on this rep is. As usual I would get the blue version if I had to choose one.

Joshua sells it too. LINK. Personally, I think the engraved version is a downgrade from the original but it's still the best one available. I have gen crown & tube installed on mine.

I have owned this exact same replica model and I guarantee you that it doesn't have a jumping GMT hand. It has a jumping hour hand, period. It's a nice rep but inferior to the Noobfactory version. This particular one has a nice bezel, crown and dial but has the fundamental problem of cyclops/datewheel positioned too much on the right. Also, the hour markers are too close to the minute ticks and the whole case design is inferior. Actually it's very simple. If you want a good ExpII replica you'll get the Noobfactory black model from bklm1234. That's the only good ExpII replica. And no, there has never been a good white version. But if you insist on having an inferior ExpII replica, you can buy anything else. Including this watch. This is a nice rep but it doesn't make any sense to buy something when there's much better version available (just imho). Here are some of my old shots of this exact replica:

Actually this is the most common misunderstanding on Rolex GMT Master II. The GMT hand will never, ever "jump" anywhere. I don't know why people thinks it does... Rolex has never produced such movement. On calibre 3185 the GMT hand moves smoothly alongside with the hour hand, (just like in ETA wrong hand stack) when you hack the watch. But unlike with reps, the GMT hand can never be "out of sync" because it's always in sync with the 12h hour hand. Only the hour hand is jumping in one hour increments (back and forth) when you set the timezone (in crown position 2, unhacked). The correct hand stack movement in reps mimics this perfectly, plus the reps have a quickset date. The only downside is that the system (in reps) is extremely unreliable and fragile. Lani is correct... don't play with it... I have a 4 year old correct hand stack Explorer II but I have never touched the adjustable hour hand. That's why it still works.

You know, I was 8 years old but I remember 1980 Lake Placid and the "Miracle on Ice". It was a worldwide sensation. Soviet Union team was "unbeatable". I could be wrong but I think only the bezel on gen YM is made of platinum. The rest is stainless steel. I didn't know the gen was THAT expensive though. Yikes...

No... the hockey final is going to be a rematch of 2006 Olympics: Sweden - Finland. All Scandinavian one again. Canada and USA can play for the bronze. Russian team has too many big egos... Ovechkin is bigger than the team... anything can happen (at least I hope so).

Hockey tournament will be interesting. Canada and Russia are the favorites, but I think Finland, Sweden, Czech Rep. and USA will all have a chance. You never know about these short tournaments.

Would be amazing. Blowers is expensive though. But they're very good and reliable. A good one for $1600 with papers is probably ok. I can make a EU-payment (bank wire) no problem. Blue versions aren't as common as black though... let's keep our fingers crossed.

Frank, I found that too. That's crazy expensive. They sold a similar one (black, on a rubber strap) in WUS just recently for $1000. Of course that's new and it's naturally more expensive... preowned is the way to go. But thanks mate, much appreciated.

@Opti: Go for the black version. The white rep might look similar in the pictures but when you see it in the flesh the difference is quite big. Gen is "creamy" and the rep is pure garish white. Here's gen I had a close look to all genuines just recently. And trust me, black rep is the closest to the gen with a HUGE margin. Even on black the texture and dial shine aren't quite apparent enough but overall it's still very close (because the color is, well... just black).

I guess member trades is the only option. The new version with red lettering ain't bad, either... but the old version (that Lani and I have) is the best. It has much more accurate dial. More pics of the old version here. (for reference). Happy hunting!

Yes. The old version of the SMP Chrono is unbeatable.

I doubt you can get this rep without the engraving anymore. It's a shame as the engraving is a serious downgrade (it doesn't look accurate). The non-engraved versions pop up in the member trade section every now and then. They usually go really fast so I suggest to grab one very quickly. Here's mine with gen crown & custom SELs... stunning rep indeed.
