The best tip I ever picked up on this board about selling items online and using Paypal. Never ever leave an amount of more then 50$ on you Paypal account. After you have receive funds from a buyer always immediately transfer the funds to you back account.

Have no idea what a fair swap would be but be aware that you will be swapping a genuine Swiss ETA for a Asian 6497 copy movement, esthetically the Asian copy is closer to gen, but the "base" undecorated Asia copy movement is a dirt cheap movement. The Swiss ETA 6497's are getting quite difficult if not impossible to source.

I am quit afraid of getting scammed, purchasing a product in the range of 3000 euro from a stranger over the net, dunno... kinda freaks me out...

I have read on various fora anecdotes about gen watch purchases at AD's. Guite often I have read stories from buyers that received 20% discount of the retail from there AD's.

I am contemplating on buying a Gen PAM 000 or 005 from an AD, but don't want to pay premium. Anyone no where the best deals can be grabbed on PAM's in Europe? I presume there are some price variations due to some European countries being more expensive the others and because some watch stores are simple more expensive the others...

The T Dial is what makes the 036 so hot, other brown dial PAM Luminor Marina's like the 118, 56, 55, 116 all have L Dials. All 036 PAM's have T Dials, periode.

Great idea Depending on the location and date, I'd like to join the party... I am located in the Netherlands, so Brussels, Antwerp, Frankfurt or any major city easily accessible via plain or high speed train would do for me..

I would take a Gen I loved over a replica that I did not any day, even if the rep was a high quality rare bird... Just my opnion...

Thanks for the compliment! @Chieftang, what sssurfer wrote about Jimmy only offering base dials is also my opinion. I have been on the rep scene since Feb 2005, since then I have never seen a Jimmy offering of a dial with small seconds, only unbranded base dials with "L SWISS L" beneath the 6.

Here is a pic of my 002 with Jimmy case, compare the lugs, there is a world of difference...

To my knowledge Jimmy never produced crowns. Jimmy dials had L SWISS L printed below the 6, and the dial looks odd, wrong numeral font and size. That crown guard lever looks cheap, flimbsy.. well just plain terrible, and the Jimmy CG lever is brushed not polished. The case lugs look very short, shorter the the standard PAM rep cases, the lugs on Jimmy's cases are longer the the standard PAM rep cases. These are low quality parts, definitely not Jimmy parts... might be Homer parts...

I am getting seriously bored of all the 775x based reps coming out lately...

The black dial Big Pilot with white on black date window and red accents on the gang reserve wheel would be a dream come true.

Well I purchased one of these crowns from this seller, I was convinced by the pics in his earlier adds and his 100% positive feedback that his crowns where gen. His pics in his latest adds make me doubt the authenticity, look too skinny to me. I shall post some pics once I received the crown...
