  1. Awesome find! Bookmarked for future refrence
  2. Not familiar with this one but the ETA version seems to have the "no feet" logo whilst the Asian version has feet.
  3. If you still had the Serie Speciale dial, that crystal would be a nice improvement!
  4. Only thing in my sites right now is a Porsche Flat Six with light grey dial. Anybody selling?
  5. The leather strap will fit on both, but you will have to try the bracelet. Often the holes are in slightly different positions on the lugs. The UPO bracelet will not fit the Silix PO for instance.

    confuse..

The Tag is a much better rep. However, if you like this watch better, go for it. Guys get obsessed with perfection sometimes and some very nice watches get ignored. Consider that the old factory Speedmaster Moonwatch had the exact same subdial inaccuracy as this one, yet it is one of the most sought after reps out there.

Its a nice watch, and one that I will pick up at some point. Just not the most accurate. You will find this same problem with most of the Omega chrono watches with the 3-6-9 subdial configuration. If you are concerned more about authenticity, look at the new Speedmasters with subdials at 6-9-12. Those ones are visually more accurate.

    confuse..

The subdial spacing is off because the rep uses the only automatic chrono movement that we have available to us, the 7750. I believe the gen movement is based on the ETA 2892 (If wrong please let me know), which has a much more compact subdial spacing. I believe there is a quartz rep that looks more accurate, but the case is 42mm not 45.
  9. Awesome shots Pug, thanks!
  10. Epoxy is fine, but make sure to do it properly. All gluing should be done on the back side of the dial.
  11. That is one sweet Avenger, congrats!
  12. I say recently because The Zigmeister has been in the servicing business for quite a while, and it is only recently that he has started to notice an upturn in the number of fake or half fake ETAs. Not to say that it never happened in the past though.
  13. No doubt that up until recently everything has been real ETA. But with the shortage of ETA and the rising costs of these movements it is inevitable that rep makers will look for a cheaper, more available replacement. Personally, I agree with one of the previous posters in that I would prefer a DG2813 or 4813 at a reduced cost, over an expensive replica ETA.
  14. I really know nothing about ETA movements, but when The Zigmeister had mine he said that he first noticed that the ETA markings were etched, not stamped as they should be. From your pics it appears that the markings are etched as well. I'm interested to hear Zig's opinion on this one.
  15. Anybody got a link to this watch? I can't seem to find it or any other Hublots on either J or A's sites.
  16. Heres a little comparison of the three points I have issue with, large marker shape, small marker size, and pearl position. I'm pretty sure this is a rep.
  17. I don't see anything on that watch that looks genuine. The hour markers are too pointy, the 3,6,9,12 markers are too short, and the logo is hidden. The also pearl appears to be sitting too low.
  18. @Star _ I think it is important that people see these threads. I think it serves notice to other sellers that we the membership will not stand for this kind of behavior. Personally I don't think that thread should have gone the way it did. I thought that the comments about the pricing were made politely and with no insinuation of wrong doing. There seems to be a stigma about questioning a seller these days. I can tell you one thing my friend, if I wasn't so deterred from thread-crapping by perceived forum edict, a certain "Crippler" would not have walked away with a lot of your membership's money. His sales descriptions and photos had more holes than swiss cheese, but we shouldn't thread-crap should we?
  19. @Mickey Chad's original post was not strange at all. As I subscribe to the sales thread, I receive emails of every new post. I've reread it several times and can see his logic. Unfortunately there were more economical ways to do the math as you pointed out, and it went on from there. Personally I don't think his asking price was that far off the mark, but it was high, no doubt about it.
  20. Hmmm, seems to be lacking a sense of humour. Now about that LV Sub....
  21. Did you not make it on the 9th? I was trying to get in touch with you!
  22. I was thinking somewhere closer to $550,000 if you look after the paypal fees
