  1. Problem with these 1655 reps is mainly that the rep-crystal is made for 1680/5513 cases so when one is trying to fit a gen 1655 crystal it's to wide. It took me forever, using special glue and o-rings to fit it =( Also I think the lume on most rep hands are too wide compared to the gen, wished they'd fix this too =( The MBW 1655 probably has exactly the same problem as Trustys 188$ one
  2. Here's an example of an Omega Seamaster 300 fake passes as a gen on ebay right now http://cgi.ebay.com/OMEGA-AUTOMATIC-SEAMAS...1QQcmdZViewItem

  4. It's true what has been said a million times... first choose your dealer, then the watch
  5. Just tried this baby on a couple of secs before it's off to possibly another owner Davidsen with a Palp crown and a custom HKTan strap
  6. Great review as always. Had my watchsmith struggle with some of my vintage gen pieces, clean etc.. He never made them more accurate timekeepers... Character, wear and old design keeps time in their own way
  7. Fixed this once on on eof my Panerais, think I tightened cg screws, but before that fitted an extra thin rubber ring under the crown and gently grinded (sandpaper) down the part of the cg's that meet the case
  8. I too wouldn't waste any energy re-modding that watch, consider trading it with someone who has a vintage MBW 5513/5512
  9. Holy cow, this post is just loaded with Beauty Daytonas
  10. Wow Ubi, thanks for sharing that awsome super watch collection.

  13. Looks great, I think this is the hardest thing to get right. Great job
  14. well if this sound really bugs someone, a 2893-2 movement is very silent winding and rotating compared to the 2836. Most of these 2893-2 movements are sold without the GMT wheel anyway on ebay.
  15. http://cgi.ebay.com/Satin-Brushed-Refinish...oQQcmdZViewItem hope it helps
  16. I assume Fliplock is swiss, they have a poor sense of humour but make nice watches.
  17. Noise problem is easy to solve; 1. Remove caseback 2. Soak watch for 2 days in motor-oil 3. Screw back caseback

  19. you're a lucky guy finding that watchmaker they don't grow on trees
  20. I guess we are all waiting for Silix to start off the production and offer some order information. I don't know if he'll offer the information here in this post or on his websites? Let's all see what happens...
