  1. Item number 170884638113 Im pretty sure, 72200 on the clasp? Thats the number on my reps
  2. 5 min epoxy. Use only a very very small dab in about 6 places. Be sure to put the small dabs towards the outside of the original calender wheel. If you put it to close to the inside of the calender wheel, it could run down to the inside causing big problems. I use a small flat screw driver to apply the epoxy to the calender wheel. It leaves a hershey kisses type dab, which is perfect when you put the overlay on. Be sure and only turn the ovelay counter clockwise to align it, if you turn it clockwise it can change the position of the calender wheel and make your overlay off just enough to piss you off. LOL good luck Next time you you need to remove a calender wheel with an overlay, simply slide a single edge razor blade under the calender wheel where the positioning spring is, rotate the calender wheel slightly clockwise, push the spring in very gently and it should pop up and off. When its off you will see the spring and the 2 slots the teeth come through, reverse the procedure to reinstall.
  3. This is a datejust not a submariner, No t25 on a DJ. Same dial as item # 370634719222 on the bay without RR tracks. I do like the new shiney silver dial, notice "swiss made" only on the dial. Surely noone would try to sell a rep on the bay and present it as gen, would they! I like all your comments and take no offense to any of them. Still just having some fun. It is amazing the knowledge some you have on details of rolex watches.
  4. This dial was available in 2005, with or without rr tracks. A lot of people don't like blue dials, even the new style.
  5. Remember folks, just having some fun!
  6. I didn't say it was the original dial. The fact that you can see the rehaut engraving well enough to make that observation, is amazing.
  7. Just a note of something I recently noticed on gen rolex with engraved rehaut. The R begins in the exact center of the hour marker, and the X ends in the exact center of the minute marker.
  8. Here is a new style DJ. Can you tell if it's real? Keep in mind the pic is at an angle to elimanate the glare, the date lines up correctly. Just having some fun
  9. The gen 555 end piece will accept a 2mm spring bar, and the tube the spring bars go through is very wide compared to the aftermarket.
  10. what you guys said makes perfect sense. However I can't find a gen 3135 movement for less than $1900, and I bet it needs a sevice no matter what the seller says. You guys are correct about a rep dial on a gen movement. The only way to do it right is a gen YM dial, 400 to 600, gen hands, another 60.00, then of course a gen platinum insert, who knows how much that would cost if you could find one, and oh yes, gen crystal, and bezel. LOL I think I can buy a good used one by know. Thanks for the fun, Matt
  11. Very difficult to polish the bracelet to look like stainless, which it is, because the tiny part on the center links where it attaches to the outside link is impossible to reach with a polisher. However you can clean the bracelet really good, by putting it in boiling water for about 5 mins, and then rodium plating it. That rodium plating done correctly seems to last forever. as for changing the end pieces, yes they can be changed by seperating the links next to the end pieces, sometimes very difficult to do, but can be done. Good luck
  12. I have a rep YM with the asian sa3135. Not the clone 2836-2 but the full size copy. I also have a 100% gen 16220 datejust with a gen 3135 movement. I was just thinking, what if I switched the movements out, would the YM have a high value, say $3000.00 and would the datejust have a value of say $1000.00 Just thinking that's all! What are your opinions. The YM has all the correct markings from correct model number and more. What do you guys think.
  13. For a dollar I would just like to have it, if it runs it's worth that
  14. Have never seen one in person, but would love to
  15. when Im putting a project together, I know all the parts I want. If I have parts coming from one place, and in order to complete my project , have to order parts from another place ( such as a box) I want to order it NOW. When i sit down to do a build, I want every single piece of the project there, including the box and as many papers as I can get. All of you guys know it can take a long time to find the box and papers you want at the right price. So the guy said urgent, instead of right away, or as soon as possible, don't read something into it that might not be there, after all we all have to trust each other or nothing gets bought and sold
  16. Believe me I have tried to find an aftermarket for a gen case, I don't think one has ever been made, at least I haven't found one in the past 5 years. If you find one that actually fits like it should, please let me know.
  17. Does anyone here have any thoughts on why the asian 7750 movement in a daytona is so unreliable. Is there anyone anywhere capable of repairing the movement to work properly. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
  18. Spend the $70 or shop around for a better price
  19. stoping in the same position indicates a bind. possible touching the bottom of the crystal, or a slight bend in cannon pinon. Ck the movement with the hour and minute hand removed, that may point you in the right direction. After you remove the hands, while its running, look at the post the second hand attaches to, make sure its running straight in side the minute tower. If it looks like its closer to 1 side than the other during its rotation, it could be touching the minute tower when the second hand is installed. If so, its an easy fix. Good luck
  20. If you are not experienced in repairing movements I highly recommend you take it to a repair man. The process to fix what you did is very simple. When you push to far on the stem release button you dislocate the yoke and yoke corrector. Not a major problem by any means. Your repair man will remove the dial, remove the retainer that holds the yoke, 1 screw, reposition the the yoke and corrector, reinstall the retainer, install the dial, install the hands and your done. Takes less than 5 mins. When you are removing you stem, support your palm on the table so you can barely depress the stem button, and give a slight outward tug on the stem while you gently depress the button, it will come right out and leave everything in the correct place . Be sure before you depress the stem button, that the stem is pulled all the the way out to the set time position Good luck
  21. The date wheel for the 2836-2 has the teeth on the bottom of it. If you try to use anything other than the 2836 wheel the teeth will be in the center of the date wheel and will not function. When you get your 2836 date wheel you will see what I mean. Good luck
