  1. First of all, can I hashtag a forum post? I think I just did Down to business, I am having some s#itty luck with my Reps lately, they just seem to be falling apart. My latest issue is with my 116610 Submariner. The bezel pearl (which wasn't great to begin with ) has simply fallen out and of course I have no clue where it could even be, nor do I plan to look for it. Any idea where I can source a gen, or good rep pearl for this watch? While I like the look of a vintage sub that is a little beat up and missing the pearl, that look doesn't seam to suit this watch just yet and I would quite like to fix it. Any advice would be very much appreciative. I'm also still looking for a replacement DSSD dial, just throwing that out there. I also don't have a picture, I think "the pearl fell out" is pretty self explanatory
  2. Pro Diver for work today, as will be the norm. In place of the Submariner, we have the Planet Ocean, in anticipation of watching Skyfall this weekend
  3. Invicta Pro Diver for the day, 116610 for the evening,
  4. This is a statement that could only come from someone in the United States. Romney is not a middle of the road dem, he is actually very conservative. Romney looks middle of the road because American Conservatives have swung so far to the right that even your massively conservative Democratic party seems liberal in context. The rest of the world dislikes Obama because he is far too right in the global political spectrum, not because he's too progressive (he's not progressive). Progressives in Canada dislike Stephen Harper (yeah, the abortion loving, state-church separating, peace pushing, 'conservative' leader of our nation) but I can assure you that Mr. Harper could never be elected in the United States. He's too liberal for Democrats and forget about your mental hospital republican party!
  5. I'm with all of the lume freaks, before turning in for the night I always charge the lume up under a bright light. If I wake up for any reason during the night, I check my watch, to see how bright my lume is, not what time it is
  6. 'Ball so hard I got a broke clock, Rollie's that don't tick-tock'
  7. All of those Pumpkin PO's from yesterday gave me the urge
  8. Ceramic Submariner, probably for the week.
  9. That wind is blowing outside, just settling in and relaxing the evening away with an old friend - 116610 sub
  10. There are small clamps that are screwed in place to hold the movement into the case, if these are loose they may allow the movement to shift inside the case and cause some rattling. If you're comfortable opening the watch yourself, and have precision jeweler screwdrivers, it should be an easy fix. That would be my first guess as to the rattling sound you are hearing. If you can't open the case, or don't want to, then your best bet is a local watchmaker, no authorized dealers or chain jewelry stores as they may not work on a replica. There are also watchmakers on this forum that will do modification and repair for you. Based on your specific location there is bound to be someone on this forum that is local (same continent). Best of luck pal, those DSSD are great watches, wear it well.
  11. Ugly SMP for the morning Maybe Carrera for later
  12. Finally have my watch back on the right (left) wrist, Carrera Day Date for today
  13. Hey there knowledgable friends, I am trying to repair one of my favourite watches, my Deep Sea Sea Dweller. The movement is going to be repaired and serviced but now I want to fix the dial issue once and for all. What is the dial issue you ask? I'll tell you! The dial is missing both feet and was simply glued to the movement, when I get the fresh movement back I would like to avoid glueing the dial back on to the movement and for that I need a new dial. What is my best course of action to get a high quality rep dial for this watch? can I go through a TD or is there a better source for replica parts? Any help at all is, as always, greatly appreciated. Mike
  14. These are an excellent rep out of the box, especially with the black tachy bezel. Pass for gen in a crowd of people or with a group of friends, even other Tag owners? - yes at an AD? - maybe, but don't risk it.
  15. So far, I have had no hold ups shipping to Canada from any trusted dealers. There are some excellent tips in here about listing as return to sender for repair, or parts repairs, very sneaky. Shipping with EMS and CanadaPost I have had excellent luck and no customs issues and this is from someone who is flagged by customs for trying to sneak some new tires accross the border in Niagara Falls... Bad Canuck, Bad
  16. This all seams perfectly reasonable, my shipping stops when the watch leaves China only to update after the post office delivers the watch. I place most of my orders from PureTime and find them to be quite reasonable (actually they owe me a $30 refund for a rubber strap, but I'll work that out with them when I'm not so busy) If you adjust your expectations based on the market that you are dealing with, have a little patience, and most importaintly....have a little patience you will become a repeat customer of any of the excellent trusted dealers with this forum. Especially when you hold your $300 watch that is 95% of it's $9000.00 counterpart.
  17. Very well put Legend, thank you for all you have given to this forum. This really is a fantastic collection of knowledge for those of us with "the sickness"
  18. I know, I know, still.. I'll update daily with my evening watch, which I promise will be much less "Invicta-ee"
  19. For the evening, Omega Seamaster Professional, 007
  20. Gorgeous looking piece, this is definitely on the short list. I don't yet own a single Panerai but I'm thinking 111 followed by a 212 on black rubber, just like that one.
