Was lucky enough to pick this up from DH last night, what a beauty. This will be a keeper.......I hope. Compared to gen -

Wearing my new arrival, picked up last night from denimhead. To say im happy is not even close, since 5pm last night I must have spent at least 6 hours staring and the dial and the slow beat second hand sweeping round.

How good are these inserts Freddy? They look excellent in the pics, I was considering going Gen but now im having second thoughts.

Firstly, sorry about the crude drawing. Art is not my strong point! Here is a pics highlighting the seconds pinion, the watch needs rotating so that the crown is on the left (its designed to be that way) the second pinion will then automatically be in the correct position for your dial. Its a 6497.

I saw pics on Saturday of the painstaking lengths DH had to go to on this bezel, all I can say is the results were worth it mate. What a Beauty, cant wait to see this in the flesh sometime soon.

I just bought a BP case set from the other RWG, it seems complete however im at a loss to see how the bezel assembly works? The case has the crystal and retaining ring fitted, the case has four small holes as shown below, not sure what purpose they serve? - The bezel ring has the click spring teeth underneath, but im not sure if im missing the actual click spring, however if I am im not sure where it would fit? There doesnt seem to be a hole in the retaining ring for a click spring? I havent tried to put the bezel on the retaining ring yet, but it feels a very tight fit. Is there something im missing?

If thats the 'supposedly' franken 1675 for sale on RWI, I would leave well alone. He has already been called out on the Insert which he claimed was gen and as nanuq suggested the dial doesnt look right plus IMO the crown guards are terrible.

Not something to try yourself mate, unless your prepared to practice, a lot. Depending on where you live you could try Md2020, hes a member here and I have only heard/seen good things from him. Shouldnt be a massive cost either.
