Thanks The base watch was from Puretime. Dial from Ingod44, bezel assembly from WSO. Bezel insert off the bay, pearl from Yuki, gen spec crown. Hands a mix of sources, Raffles/Yuki, etc. Shortened the tail of the second hand to be more gen like. Gen T19 service crystal. ETA 2846. Phoenix NATO. Added a little patina to everything. Think that's about it.
Agree, looks like the diameter of the dial is too small for the case. Either that or it isn't seated correctly. Either way you'll need to open up the case to resolve the issue.
Unless there's a broad arrow mark on the case (pheon) probably not. A lot of watches were bought privately and engraved. It doesn't make it's heritage any less exciting though!
Go for a gen T19 service crystal, or a CWP T19 (superdome). Both are way better than Clarks with little or no rehaut distortion. http://www.classicwatchrepair.com/page28.html
On punctuation An English professor wrote on the board: A woman without her man is nothing. The class was then asked to punctuate the sentence. The men wrote: "A woman, without her man, is nothing." The women wrote: "A woman: without her, man is nothing."
