  1. This is the one to get! BP right?
  2. I believe Noob makes one and then BP. They have subtle differences in the insert. As with a lot of the newer reps, if you piece together the best of both Noob and BP you can have a very accurate rep for a moderate price.
  3. I will let the pictures speak... PBdad did a fantastic job on the build. I am still working on some details and will post a full build thread for anyone interested in building this franken. I will say this... this build is not for the faint of heart. Haha. But seriously... I cannot stop wearing this GEM.
  4. I seriously have not taken this off my wrist since I got it back from the build...
  5. That seems like a curious way to service a movement. Do I need to buy a gen hammer or will a rep one suffice? I want to make sure I service the movement properly just in case a seasoned watchsmith is observing me, haha. So my newb question, where to source the DG3804B and matching rep rolex gmt hands? Or will this require some extensive modifications to mate rep hands to the DG. EDIT: I see where to buy the movement and matching DG hands, google is my friend. For a total of $50 it's worth a try and see if it fits the case.
  6. I believe the BP factory has a much better version of this watch. I know theres a few topics on RG about this. Sead and TrustyTime sell the BP version if I am not mistaken.
  7. The blue color, the font and thickness, and where the blue and black ceramic meet at the 6 on the insert.
  8. I saw the build thread Sneed did. I guess I also need to figure out by trial and error what is going to fit in my thin case. Not sure the thickness of these movements either... Lol
  9. What are your thoughts on this being used in a vintage 1675? This is a slow beat if I am not mistaken. I want a reliable slow beat movement with matched GMT hands for a franken 1675 project (wintage). I know there is the DG movement but what about ETA options?
  10. 1 post with almost a month of being a forum member and this is the comment to pop his cherry. Haha. Way better then a "whose got the ultimate best super great sub" 1st post. Welcome to the forums!
  11. Thanks for the link. I had never seen that. Then again I am new here..
  12. Don't you love it when a plan comes together? Lol even if it is by pure luck
  13. Nothing but great things from Andrew.
  14. Slow and steady wins the race? Nah. I agree... Reaction time is noticeable longer here. I guess being the smaller of the other forums has something to do with that.
  15. I agree. TC movement is great and nothing to be ashamed about. The hunt begins for some yuki movements, lol. Such is this hobby.
  16. That is a great illustration.
  17. Yes, out of stock period. I've email Yuki to confirm this.
  18. This watch warms my heart on this rainy day...
  19. I emailed yuki, sold out.
  20. So true. We have some real in house experts.
  21. BK if you don't mind paying a bit more. Or wait and check the sales thread for a previously owned BK with PBdad mods. Those come up fairly often.
  22. I think those dates like up pretty dang'on close. nice work. I still have to figure out what slow beat movement to go with for my frranken 1675
  23. No deal on craigslist is worth the risk of something like this happening. I know plenty of people have no issues but it only takes one time... m2m ftw
  24. I thought these movements were out of stock?
