Oh.... wow... Details? -
I can agree with the above recommendations to create a build list with parts prices. You'll be surprised what these builds can run if you're not careful. Everyone has a rule of thumb on the budget of their builds. My personal rule is to never exceed 1/3 the cost of the gen. Thats the very high end of course. I try and stay with 1/4 the price of the gen. Figure out what you want to build and plan the parts build and associated costs. You'll be glad you did.

We get it. Trust us. We've been there and sympathize. I've lost several loved ones this past year, but business is business. You just don't neglect your work responsibilities. It is not about placing more importance on reps over your family. Not one person has said that. Its about a business and what you owe your customers. I am sure these reps you "give two shits about" help keep the lights on. So to neglect those responsibilities and push back by saying "stupid reps" is just poor business and plain immaturity on your part. Accept it or not, but people shouldn't have had to work as hard as they are to get a hold of you regardless of what life has dished you. Especially when there is money and commitments involved. I am trying to think of a situation where I could neglect work for over a month and blame others for my absence. I can't, sorry. Like I said I had several close members pass and the last thing on MY mind was leaving my work responsibilities. Best of luck to you and I do agree you do need a drastic change in how you run your business. I might suggest more organization and some contingency plans. -

We can spend all our energy coming up with excuses on why the world isn't perfect. At the end of the day you have 17 watch projects on hand. Therefore you should have customer information for each of those projects. That seems pretty easy and logical to me. Take in watch/parts and associate it to a customer name. Now if you don't have this very basic system (watch/part to customer record system) in place then yes, you are correct when saying it is not as easy as I've explained it to be. If thats the case I can only imagine the mess you're trying to sort through. -

To reach out to 17 people doesn't seem like too daunting of a task... I have a hard time understanding that... "Hey (insert name here), I have your watch and/or parts I am sorry for the delays and negative PR I'm getting. You are currently X client in line. I appreciate your patience and understanding as I try and catch up. Thanks, (insert name here)" There ya go. That took me all but a few seconds to write that. Figure out where all 17 people stand. I'm sure you have dates of when you accepted the work. Figure out an order and communicate to them individually. Making two threads about your delays and apologizing to and entire forum board was part of this entire cluster. Apologize to your customers who are affected. Emailing those 17 people directly would have saved you all this grief... Feel free to use the template "email letter"... I just still can't understand why people are still in the dark. 17 emails... -
thats some serious work you put into these dials. good work

I may be alone in this but I get completely bored with your extensive replies, emailed, and explanations. Even your apologies are ungodly long. I understand three things from your epic posts... 1) Your watches were lost and now they are found! The prodigal watches have returned. 2) Your replies and messages are so long that Im willing to bet (in the states that it is legal of course, no legal trouble ha) that even forum members looking for good rep watch gossip quit reading. 3) I know why you are not a lawyer. Grow up and move on. Damn. -
I am sorry you have to wear such obvious rep 16610 LV beater... Haha, damn fine watch and photos to match.

2007... haha funny. Someone used the search bar. SOSF v2 (again, I sold and regret ha)

These days with the internet and google anyone can pretend to be any profession they want. I can google lawyer jargon one minute then immediately switch to google medical speak. I want to thank Wikipedia and my paid by mail diploma for the opportunity to give legal advice to anyone on the Internet. Welcome to the 21st century. -
Dude 16803 hands down... You're about to build an epic watch. Yes, the SELs are nice but I think theres something about the vintage NOS look you're about to accomplish. Heck, if I wasn't so strapped for cash (you know my builds, haha) I would gladly pick up the pieces you needed to sell. When I bought the WSO bracelet and realized that it was a two piece endlink I PM'd WSO and requested a return, I said the picture slight misrepresented the actual item. The picture nor description really explain it being two pieces. When I brought this up they immediately said they could modify the bracelet to have a SEL. I did not end up going with the modified bracelet as I returned the it. I sourced a cheaper alternative for my TT GMTc build. Nonetheless, its a possible option worth pursuing.

Wow... Dude AWESOME shot!

Toro to the rescue. Ha. Admin why aren't we asking our in house experts for advice? I am sure suggestions from Toro and other TDs could be of use to the forums. We know they've all had some sort of trouble in their years of business. I am sure they want to see the forums succeed just as much as we do. What bothers me is the MD topic is catching more attention then the real issue we have at hand.
-
Toro, Sneed, TT (andrew). Any of those will get you the v2. I bought a swiss V2 in May from Andrew and it was perfect. I recently sold it and plan on eventually replacing it with another but asian movement. I know sneed has some great prices on the asian movements.
-
5 years is a heck of a life for a "cheap ol'" rep. And even then, 5 minutes a day is nothing. Heck I am sure there are reps forum members are wearing that keep worse time. If you give up on that you have the challenging quest to find the replacement! haha.

Have you ever been 100% happy with a rep OTB?
ceocorona replied to chango's topic in General Discussion
My Breitling SOSF v2... Still regret selling that a few weeks ago. That was nearly spot on to the gen for less then $400. -
Let us know how that holds. Regardless of the top staying in position the bracelet doesn't fall off right? Otherwise I'd be scared to wear it in public and the glue fails...

+1. At a quick glance I thought you had a gen 1570

Andrew is a steller TD. I've purchased several pieces from him and never an issue he couldn't solve.
