  1. Any updates on the 4130-modding?
  2. That's my baby... Gonna change the caseback, have Joe do custom engravings on a sterile one. Change the pearl to a vintage creamy one. Last but no least, finish the work on a WSO 580 mated with solid oyster braceley finished with a modern Fliplock. If I wanna go more vintage correct, I'll throw on a leather strap.
  3. The new vintage PAM690 is a very sweet deal imo. http://www.intime.co/panerai/3076-pam690-q-sf-best-edition-blue-dial-on-thick-brown-leather-strap-p3000-super-clone.html Something more petite http://www.intime.co/omega/2999-speedmaster-ss-apollo-xvii-gray-dial-on-ss-bracelet-manual-winding-chrono-movement.html
  4. Tapers down to 18mm, sweet. Throw on a 18mm ratchet buckle from Strapcode, and the summer swelling is accounted for.
  5. Awesome work! Hmm... Those fingers holding the broken dial are familiar!
  6. @TomTom69 @Sogeha http://www.seiko-prospex.com Check the video with their depth tests especially the Marine master. I would say that Seiko's meters seem to be real meters. OK, they are "slow motion depth increase" not real person diving, but how do you create a standardized test in real water (also... Europe's deepest Lake is in Macedonia, and it ain't more than 500m. I think I'll go with the "Depth meters/dollar"-principle. And SEIKO wins by far.
  7. If you're going almost gen-look.. Either the servicex look, and with a new T19 gen is about 100€, if you choose CWP "domey" to is about 50€ exclusive S&H. If you go the sensible route I would recommend Sternkreutz as I've found them to be better than Clarks "serviced" T19. If you chose CWP, pick up a couple of them while you're at it, otherwise a bit of acrylic will go by EMS. The customs x-ray technicians will go crazy trying to figure out "where/how the drugs are hidden". TC crown+tube, same thing. S&H... But if plan ahead for future builds it might be worth it. Otherwise You could always pick up a couple of v3 hands both LV and regular (to have in stock) If you go gen, I can help you with a non-greedy source for the service gen items. Don't know if the Phong bezel fits. The WSO is a sensible budget alternative. Don't know if helped out... If you need a Vietnam bezel assembly PM me. Take care mate and good luck!
  8. Yeah, me too. White, small amounts of rose gold (not TT) and SS.. Pure beauty.
  9. What is there to say... All is excellent (except for the hybrid-quartz).. 295EUR pre-order price. http://www.nezumistudios.com/shop/ http://wornandwound.com/review/nezumi-voiture-review/
  10. Ok.. A question for debate: I picked up a 16710 non-LEC sapphire w/ glass retainer and all gaskets etc in mint shape on an auction for 50 EUR. Considering a used 25-295-C goes for about 100-150 EUR and the retainer etc for 200-350 EUR. Yeah, it was a bargain, I have no plans for a GMT or for that matter early sapphire date models How much should/can I list it for?
  11. I would definitely be interested in "investing" in RWG-crowd funded case(s)
  12. AP Royal Oak 39mm quartz, 15202 might be a substitute? Have you tried it?
  13. I have a Rolex source, PM med what you need. --- Since I kind of started this, here are my "famous last words" (for now) in the matter: I will approach this, wanting t help, as I've aways wanted. Sometimes, price breakdowns are wrong. E.g. including shipping and removed parts to the "total cost" or calculating "if another person would have built it then "modding costs would have been 800 USD, so let's say 400 USD". Take care, holo
  14. I've been waiting like crazy for a rep... Especially with rose gold hands. The gen sits perfect on my wrist. Poor mans Royal Oak
  15. I will most likely be selling my Tudor bracelet as I'll be doing a custom solid linked Glidelock one for my 7928. I know Rolojack was quite impressed by it.
  16. I don't understand how JKF does parts on one watch correct and disregard completely on e.g. 5513 I would most likely prefer this one because of that. http://www.intime.co/tudor/2959-vintage-200m-660ft-jkf-best-edition-black-round-handset-round-markers-submariner-a2836.html Maybe they're continually improving?
  17. Yup, I had already updated the main post in regards to this. I will contact everyone regarding payment in advance this weekend. I'm stumbled with some unforseen extra work load, Cheers,
  18. It might.... Drill and try to sink the tube and thus Athaya 700 crown a teenie bit. Lengthwise the CGs should do, however creating the almost square shape in a "crown face" - projection might be on the edge. Luckily the crown is a bit flatter than 703/704.
  19. Looks great! Great job! Regarding the crown guards, and this is valid on all PCGs. They have an inward slope creating the "points". Your CGs need a bit more trimming, they're a mix of Eagle Beak and Pointed CGs. http://ringofcolour.com/en/archives/7194 (SCG EBCG PCG compared) See the bad doodled pic I did
  20. Interesting! I've gone through a box of them but still always favour the no. 9s more. When it comes to the Unicos it's the other way around. Dirty Rat kills the UF13. But... I have a feeling they will all be irrelevant when Robert Caldwell and Jonathan Drew's collaboration is released. Now.. Time to stock up on Anastasias before E.P. Carrillo's farm runs through the diminishing stock of vintage tobacco.
