Wow, what a stunning time piece. That reflective shot on the Liverpool logo is really a great photo.

Pam 007, thank you for the nice words and this great photo. The inserts are definitely brothers or cousins at least. You want to sell me that pearl What year is yours? The dial text is quite a bit different. Beautiful time piece you have there. I am very happy with this build and will give it plenty of love, but some day I will find the perfect 1966 5513 with a Bart Simpson gilt dial. For now this will do rather nicely.

Thank you for all the kind words. Updated with a pearl. She is on her way. Should arrive right around my birthday which would be fitting since the serial number is a combination of my and my wife's birth dates but is period correct. Actually got some points for including her in the build

Not sure yet on the band. I have a few options and a couple strap choices as well. Probably a 93150. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

Thanks Jack. I have a 2846 also but needs a service and the 2824 is brand new. I am guessing this will get a lot of wear so sacrifice some accuracy for reliability and longevity. Plus oddly enough both the guys I usually seek advice on movements have had bad luck with 2846 so that played into the decision as well. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes modded Yuki case set with custom serial number for late 1966. Yuki Eta dial and hands that were re lumed and second hand shaped. CWP plexi. Gen crown and a gen MKIII insert. New Swiss 2824 ETA. Trying to solve the pearl to complete. Dbane did all the great work on this. Really want to thank him for all his help and work on this project. Super knowledgable, great skills and just a really good guy. We had many discussions on this build and he captured exactly what I was looking for. This was to be a moderate budget build and for the most part I stayed on budget. Until this insert became available. I think the insert really fits/makes the build and was worth the extra expense. The result exceeds my expectations. I think she looks amazing. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

Cannot contain my excitement so decided to share a couple of early pics with my watch collecting friends. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

Wow. Looks awesome. Just starting to learn about vintage Daytona's. These Sigma dials are beautiful but hard to source and very expensive. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

Best Automatic Winder 4+ bay with secondary drawer

I have had good luck with ace timer. My 4 watch unit is well over 10 years old and still runs. The 8 watch unit is newer and had 1 noisy motor which they senT a replacement for at no charge. So service was solid. Not the best out there but good value. I tried a high end expensive unit that was really quiet and nice looking but only lasted 2 years. He use to sell mainly on eBay but looks like he is moving to his own store front. http://www.acetimer.com/Watch-Winders Sent from my droptop using telepathy.- 7 replies

That is awesome. Can you guys explain this in more detail. If it is not a reflection is it actually printed there? Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

This one was from around 2004 from "ideal watches" if I remember. Long before I found the forum or knew much about watches. My beloved 1987 16613 broke and Rolex wanted an insane amount to fix it so I traded it for a race car body and found this rep in attempt to "replace it". Had to take a cashiers check ($1100) to fedex to pick it up. Not knowing any better, I thought it looked pretty good. I was wearing a gen 116523 back then and in my ignorance thought this rep was a steal. It is solid 14k bezel, crown and bracelet and swiss Eta. She ran good for almost ten years but in the spring crown broke so sent it to Matt. Crown was easy to sort out but he had to try a bunch of inserts to find one that fits so not gen spec. Insert and dial are too purplish and she has other flaws but still runs great and bracelet is really comfy from the stretch..... Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

On the road, but will run it through my home theater when I get back. Nothing too fancy, an Onkyo running in wall Klipsch 7.1 with a Klipsch sub. Moderate build that I have been very happy with.

That is just awesome. Gotta love the chain drive. Keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. It appears even when this was initially produced that all those parts are hand made. Like to hear this at home through my sound system.

I should have mine any day now. I like the way mine turned out but I am curious to see the computer generated mods versus my untrained hands. Being winter, it is a good time to mess with another build. Probably end up making 2 and will keep the one I like the best and sell the other. Just wish I could find a gen dial for a reasonable price....
