  1. Oh how i love the TTK drama! He always get the noobs so fired up. lol
  2. Once you become a RWG Supporter paying member, then the collector section will be reveiled before your very eyes... You will find everything you want there! Or you can search for TTKs posts and then look at his signature
  3. I cant stop looking at this watch that The Zigmeister has modded.. now im getting all excited about my comex 5514 project again.. its never ending! LOL
  4. if your watch has 21mm lugs then order 21mm spring bars.
  5. Ok Rob, now you're just showing off! Are you serious? Did you lume that whole strip? I am impressed! Thats has got to be the BEST lume job i have ever seen. Absolutely amazing. I never even gave this watch a second thought before and now im in love after seeing your work Your Franck Muller above is also VERY impressive. I've always liked those dials and the lume just brings it to life! Lonnie
  6. Ive never seen a gen sub with a conical rehaut...
  7. excellent info guys. i was wondering about those casebacks.. i'll have to talk to angus about one for sure.
  8. it looks like you're really done your research and layed it out really well. nice closeup comparisons of the two watches. I hope people now see the difference between the gen Noobmariner and the noobmariner replicas LOL TTK's Noobmariner is most accurate submariner rep 'out of the box'. Plus its the perfect base to build a franken.. gen crown and tube and a gen insert and your done! The bracelet is almost perfect too.
  9. haha the dial wouldnt be glued down. its actually held with 2 little screws.. the tricky part is getting the hands off and back on. Removing the movement is easy. there are a few great tutorials here on how to "disasemble your submariner" Alll the info you need is there. Not sure what the cost would be at a watchmaker?? $30-50 maybe??
  10. yeah the layout of this writing looks better on #1. The other one looks to jammed together. ANd im pretty sure the airking doesnt come with a GMT master bracelet. The other one is a GOOD replica though! ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE Air-King
  11. i think photoshop is fine becasue like it was said earlier.. its the digital equivilant of better photographer. for example my photoshopped pics are VERY poor incomparison to unmodded pics from someone like Pug. But when you start erasing flaws or making changes to misrepresent the item, then thats just being dishonest. But the question is... how does a buyer know if the pic has been photo-chopped or not? Maybe we need to put a disclaimer in our sales posts that the photos are not modded to misrepresent the items in any way.
  12. buy the complete watch from TTK for $100and swap all the parts in.. even if its an asian movement its supposed to be almost as good as the ETA.. just keep the orig MBW ETA movement incase you have any problems and you can aways swap it in later. Thats the easy route if you havent tried removing hands and dials before. If you are confident to swap just the dial or have a rep friendly watchmaker then order the dial and bracelet from bklm1234 and go from there. L
  13. Either that or a mens datejust with a big triplock crown LOL
  14. yikes sorry to hear about this.. i think im going to change all my passwords again for safety
  15. Yes pug, life is... precioussssss lol ya i like to see the sigs too
  16. its like the slight differences in newer GMT master II dials. sometimes the "2" is II and sometimes its || There seems always be subtle changes but i dont think its due to QC
  17. i myself would go for the ETA black dial with AR crystal first and white dial second choice. The blue dial to me looks cheap. I have NEVER seen a gen breitling with a blue dial except online (but i know they exist obviously). I know LOTS of people with breitlings and almost all are white dials and according to my AD friend that is the most desireable by FAR.. second being black and lastly blue.
  18. Hello admin and mods, I have noticed lately that more and more threads are getting wider so i have to scroll back and forth side to side to read the text. Sometimes its due to big pictures but a lot of times it due to a forum member having a signature thats too wide. Not all of us are running wide screen monitors like they must be. Is it possible to limit signature width so us people with 1024x768 displays dont have to scroll sideways?? Its REALLY annoying when you are trying to read a review or something and the text goes right off the right side of the screen becasue a member with a wide sig posted somewhere in the thread. It might be easier to somehow limit signature width than have to ask everyone politely to change their sig constantly. Lonnie
  19. my oldest rep is a broken yellow gold president from probably the early 1990's. I have two OLD mbw? subs from about 10 yrs ago that are still more accutate that most ETA sub reps available today. I will never throw them out but one day i will put new movements in them. My old two tone sub is amazingly accurate for its time. I think a lot of these vintage franken watches being built now (like the mbw 1665 and 1680) will always hold their value accordingly. I dont think todays out fo the box super-reps will be anything special in the future becase we have seen leaps and bounds in the manufacturing industy. Reps will only get better and better and i cant wait to see what is in store for us 5 yrs down the road.. i think ALL high end reps will be perfect like the Breitling SFSO and ceramic HBB
