Getting watches shipped to germany. Any issues
Sogeha replied to cib0rgman's topic in General Discussion
I get what you are saying, but there is considerable romantic licence there my friend. Deported criminals, those evading the law and other undesirables also left Europe for the States. New York was a pirate colony at one time. Also those that were already successful in Europe tended not to leave🙄 -
Hello and welcome to our community. Trusted Dealers can be found here:- https://rwg.cc/forum/230-watches-clothing-parts-accessories/ Try a 44mm before you decide it is too big. Pams are meant to be big on the wrist. My wrists are small, Breitling and other 45mm watches look silly on me, but Pams are okay. I have a couple of 47mm, but those are too big for me

Southern Ireland is not too bad, or if needs be I can get them sent into the UK and then have them (cough) magically reappear in Southern Ireland for onward posting to mainland Europe. We be good brothers😀 -
OP @Frazzle1 was online on Sunday. You could always shoot him a PM for details
-
The only Rollie I know is not in the UK,there may be another. @Ado213 comes highly recommended

A lot of the dealers will do this for you, just ask a couple. I don’t know if Silex were ever a TD here, but lots of guys have used them including me. They are kind of budget end when it comes to customer service though. -
@LifeTrekker likes his hollow end links😀 I would like be to lay my paws on one of these to Mod, but they are a lot more than $80 to my door. I still need a BSH dial, hopefully brother Jtragic will eventually manage the gilt dials
-
Good modders tend to be busy. He will get back to you, patience is necessary in this game and modders that don’t take on more work than they can cope with and the ones that stick around and don’t disappear with people’s money and watches
-
Just send him a PM, he will reply

I’ve heard of driven snow, but didn’t know you could drive it🤣

Very nice Minty, but didn’t our guys find that the crystal or bezel construction wasn’t gen spec and caused issues with modding? I’m pretty sure I still have a MBW somewhere. Nothing beats a Shitinerand for old school cool though

My mother had me tested! Wouldn’t be MBK/MBW if anyone had the slightest idea what was going on now would it?

MBW = Maria’s Best Watch. Long gone. Was a good rep in it’s day and has a back story that you couldn’t make up, but modern reps are better

The root cause of the problem with rep reliability is that the watches are assembled in areas that are less than sterile and rep watches often have dirty movements. Given good luck or a service, the movement in a rep will last as well as anything else. The metal in the clone movements is apparently slightly softer than the ETA or Swiss clones, In practice if the movement is clean and properly lubed it will have a long life and most can be repaired. Also it depends which gen watch you are talking about. High street designer brands have cheap, crap Chinese movements. Rolex has long aimed at providing durable movements, but I hear Audemars Piguet movements are actually less than reliable.

I hope you wired it through a door switch, run that sucker for any length of time and your ice cream will boil never mind melt. This beauty on the other hand is 1.8Watt and not much over $5.00 Still if software developers put more effort in, we wouldn’t have these glitches
-
I think it only affects 220Volt European fridge lights. Today I upgraded to an LED replacement as a work around solution
-
I have thought that would be a good idea for a while. We aren’t going to enforce it, but it would be really nice if guys did that and listed any mods, or gen parts

Since the software update the light in my fridge stopped working. Other than that, thanks for keeping us going Boss

@tomhorn that was said slightly tongue in cheek. My dad was a press photographer from the late sixties and remained a professional photographer until the mid eighties. Even then he was regularly removing lamp posts and adding trees, slimming or fattening politicians according to editorial whim. I guess my total lack of interest stems from that, as children we had to stand still for what seemed like hours and hours while dad f@&£ed about dancing with a light meter! Killed any interest in photography stone dead.

Hmm, the camera never lies, but if you have my photography skills the whole world is warm and fuzzy. Could be one image has been cleaned up in editing, could be one is slightly out of focus. I wouldn’t have a clue
