Well it's been a great month for me! I have an opportunity to buy a gen BCE, what dial color do you guys think looks best? Would be on SS band, but my options are limited to either black or white, which would you pick? I know the universal best color for watches is generally white, but thats not always the case IMO.. I have a white rep and love it, but i'm really diggin the black on the gen... Or would you rather have this chrono-matic?

Lucky vicky....TWP I hope everything works out for the best, I have been in the room for countless polygraph sessions @ work and let me tell you they are by no means a good time...In fact its a horrible, miserable and uncomfortable experience to go through so god bless your soul..Most people who take a poly for the 1st time show deception and fail the test before it even begins b/c their so nervous...It's actually quite a simple science, if your body reacts to the "control" questions more than "relevant" you will test ND (no deception) but if your bodies respond more to the "relevant" questions rather than the "control" questions you fail - My point being, obviously you were telling the truth and your wife has nothing to worry about .... Unfortunately I have to take one once a year for my job and I hate it more and more every year...TWP you are the man and I have been really happy with the 111h, the lume is outta this world! Thanks again buddy!

Is it just me or does the B on the bezel look engraved as opposed to laser etched? Maybe its just the lighting

Damn...Very nice! Looks like it has a nice patina going on, that could be why it looks a little different than others you've seen...John Mayer has a similar Tiffany & Co cream dial explorer and its lovely

Thanks for the link z80, some great info there thats were I found out the difference between the 2 models: Produced only until 1988, the short-run 16760 was replaced by the much longer running ref. 16710 GMT-Master II. Not only did the 16710 sport a new caliber of movement (the identically functioning cal. 3185), but it had also lost weight and returned to more slender, GMT-like dimensions Introduced circa 1988, the ref. 16700 replaced the ref. 16750 in the Rolex catalog while remaining less expensive than it’s more evolved sibling, the GMT-II. Featuring the updated cal. 3175 (which functioned identically to the previous cal. 3075), the 16700 was sold until the remarkably late date of 1999, although overall production seems relatively small in comparison to the more advanced & functional 16710 GMT-II. Also, it appears that the 16700 was only offered with the Pepsi bezel insert to distinguish it from the GMT-II (though it’s certain changes to the insert could be made on customer request).

Does this model have WG surrounding the markers? I actually prefer the tritium to SL just because they are more rare than the SL's...I predict that 10 years from now these models will be worth 3x what they are today, not that I would ever consider selling this beauty

Nevermind guys, just bought the 16710 from an online AD (DeMesy Fine Watches), figured out the difference is a GMT vs. GMT II...Obviously I wanted the newer of the 2, got a 98' 16710 in immaculate condition with original box and papers for $3600 ...DeMesy has the biggest GMT collection ive ever seen, they specialize in pre-owned and I figure the way they can sell them for such a great price is because they have about 30-40 GMT's..I called up and chatted with the owner Joe DeMesy for a bit and hes a great guy, would highly recommend him to others..Will post pics when it arrives - im super excited!!! Heres a pic of the watch (the exact watch). What do you guys think?

Hey guys, i've been looking around for a gen GMT II and I have found 2 great deals, ones a 16710 and the other is a 16700...Both within $100 of eachother in great condition with original box and papers...What are the differences between these two models? Which one is the superior watch? Thanks for any advice/opinions!

Nanuq, they have never made a rep folded link...If they ever do i'll be the 1st one to get it, well maybe 2nd :-p

I recieved my modded 111h a few weeks ago and the cannon pin was on a bit too tight so it wouldn't keep time...TWP was great about it, even experienced modder's make mistakes, everyone makes mistakes...These are rep watches, [censored] happens..How ever I do agree that some mistakes like the can pin are understandable, but a watch with no CG attatched thats a different story, thats mind boggling that it could be shipped out in that condition...I'll also go on record to say TWP handled the situation very profesionally, he told me to send it back so I did, and instead of fixing the watch he built me a new 1 and tossed me an extra strap and a discount towards my next purchase Don't worry friend, the dealer will take care of that for sure, hope everything works out for ya~

My mother still prefers and uses a manual brush her self if that says anything, but out of all the electric brushes she says the sonicare is by far the best and worth the expensive price tag..She runs an all-female practice, and a bunch of her employee's swear by electric toothbrushes...Like watches, it's all personal preference, apples to oranges...I tried the sonicare elite e9800 a few months before it came out and liked it however I still use an old fashion toothbrush for the dentist recommended 2 minutes -go in circular motions wax on-wax off...To this day I have 0 cavities
-
Sonicare is the best...My mother is a dentist and owns/runs her practice in NYC she gets free samples of every toothbrush sent to her and her preference is the Sonicare..

This is good news, [censored]ing sicko should be behind bars what he did is horrible...I own a pitbull and what he did gives my pup a bad rap, even tho shes the sweetest dog ever and would not harm a fly, when I walk her in the city people are still afraid of her..I agree with gio, if this were anyone else they would be locked up for much longer...Celebrities with high profile lawyers always get off easy, and this case is no different...Quite sad actually

I'd love to hear some more opinions about this 1 before I go out and spend $, has anyone heard any good/bad things about these speedmaster's? Would you take this watch over a gen SMP chrono?cI could spend a little more $ and get a used Rolex submariner or GMT, or a Breitling BCE? But buying new has alot of advantages over used, I get the warranty which is very important..Can anyone chime in on this? I really like the speedmaster but cant seem to dig up any reviews, or any decent info on google, and definitly no info here on the forums because this speedmaster is not repped...Thanks in advance

Very nice lan, enjoy it...Looks like the real deal MBW to me

Great watch mate!! Enjoy that beauty!! Someone already mentioned it, but you left out the part about the really nice folded link bracelet! Simply awesome!! It might have took awhile but it was definitely worth it, you really found the perfect vintage gmt, congrats!

The new year is creeping up, can't wait to see what the factories have in store for 2008... Lets see/hear about your favorite purchase/favorite watch of 2007...I'll get it started with one of the best out of the box rep's ever made (IMO) with a Omega SMP chrono Here's mine BT's from the Omega guide(hope you don't mind ) Sec@6 Daytona..I know the movement is shaky but I've had no problems with the 2 that I have. The accuracy of the dial is remarkable and overall has a great finish, if you forget about the movement this is 1 accurate rep So what was your favorite watch or purchase of 2007?

Does anyone know if an ETA 7750 dw w/ the right fonts will fit in my asian 7750? If so I think that would be a good mod - other than the dw this watch is flawless

Heres my rolex collection minus my submariner and seadweller which are being serviced

Yes unfortunately the only real AD in my area (Frank Adams) doesn't stock Breitlings, but when I went a few days ago the owner said he has a friend who has them and he could get one for me...So three days later he called me back and said unfortunately he cant get his hands on one, it's there most popular watch...Tourneau down in the city has 4 of them...However I really like that Speedmaster, what dial do you like best for that model? The all white is nice, but the white w/ black subdial is awesome IMO...The AD does have omega's so I could try it on there but I'm probably going to wind up getting it on the web...You also have to consider that going with the omega could save me a large sum of $, in fact I could go buy the speed master and a used datejust for the price of a chronomat evo, but I think I really like the idea of getting the omega and just saving some $ + the speedmaster is a very nice watch
-
Hey guys, i'm debating whether to get a gen graphite chronomat evo on leather band for around $2,9 or should I save some $ and get an Omega SpeedMaster chrono for $1,9, I really like this model, does anyone have this gen? Help me decide which route to go! I can save about a G if I go the Omega route but do I want to dish out the extra $ to get a Breitling? What would you do? OR
