Wow, you folks are more sophisticated than me. I separate my watches into big (43-46), really big (47 - ???) and little at 42 or less. and that is about it. But for instance I am away from home for 2 weeks right now and could only bring 3 watches a 40mm, a 44mm and a 47mm with one on bracelet for swimming purposes.

A hearty welcome to RWG now that you have "outed" yourself. You have gotten off to a wonderful start with a really wonderful collection. Somehow I think that watch box will be full sooner rather than later. And of course, congrats on that PAM 90 pick-up. It looks great.

As far as I know the only Luminor (cg) models with no cyclops and are automatics with date at 3 are in-house movements (8 day and 3 day movements). If you are insistent on it I would buy an automatic and simply replace the crystal with a hand wind one. You can pick those up cheap.

Congrats on your first and clearly not your last PAM. It is a slippery slope but a very fun ride. It always starts with one and it ends with a significantly lighter wallet. One of my first reps was one of the original Josh 36B's. And I still have it.

I am much more particular now that really good reps are available. And yes, I also have used reps to test drive a gen watch. The two areas where I stick with gens are in-house movements and precious metal pieces for the obvious reasons. But my heart definitely goes out to the long term build frankens. Those are the watches I treasure far more than any gen. My safe queens are the frankens not the gens. So I buy gens when I know I love the piece, can buy them at a price where I can resell without a sizeable loss (in case I get bored of it) and most importantly can afford them which with kids is not very often.

Congratulations on procuring that movement. It will make a helluva watch. The prices for these pieces have just soared so you are a very lucky guy.

Greg has it right. The original RWG founded by Blade blew up when he disappeared. The stories ranged from running away with people's money from the RWG watch and buying a new car to being drafted into the Serbian Army. The remaining admin personnel made a valiant effort to keep it going but ultimately no one had access to the domain/servers except Blade. So it died. During all this Thomas (the Admin here) had another site TRC. When RWG crashed and burned Thomas took all of us lost souls on board and actually worked with some of the original folks to create this forum. The Dark Side came next (now RWI) and then Geeks. IMHO it is thanks to Thomas that the 10,000 members of the original RWG had someplace to go and re-congregate. And by the way it was not a money maker. A number of the older folks stepped up at various times to help fund it. Today we have a number of wonderful forums but I will always remember that it was Thomas who stepped up and took us in in the first place and subsequently sponsored the creation of this forum.

I say yes with a suit and no if informal. Croc really jumps out on a PAM because the watch and the straps are so big.
