Just for once, I'd love to have someone in my family contact my fave TD, purchase a rep I really want without letting me know, get it, wrap it up all pretty and give it to me. Not gonna happen I'm afraid. My hobby is tolerated but not much interest.

I like Woodford also. Let us know what you think of the Angel's Envy, someone just recommended it to me recently, haven't tried it yet.

As usual, the bezel numbers are too thin on the rep. The dial design is starting to grow on me though.

Thanks for taking the plunge rolexman, I'm very interested. I collect pens, have a bunch of them from Narikaa, been using them for years and some have held up better than others, but almost all have had the black lacquer chip off here and there. The other issue is none of them take gen refills, I use Parker gel roller refills, and they work nicely.

I've wondered about those nails...could they belong to a lovely assistant?

The design is a bit too fashion watch style for me but, I've been looking at these new UNs on Joshua's website. I find the movements/complications interesting...for that price these watches can do everything that is described?

zsolie, thanks for your reply. I did look at InTime's site and his version does come with the asian 2824-2 movement, I had no idea this other version existed. How is the bezel - does it look like painted aluminum, or is it authentic high gloss ceramic? From InTime photos the bezel looks painted.

zsollie, which dealer did you buy these from? I thought the 300 ceramic was only available with ETA movement.

I've been wanting to get the 300 ceramic for awhile now, the bracelet is a work of art. But what's been stopping me is the $340 price for a dirty ETA movement.

I've been wanting a vintage gold Daytona for a long time, and I just don't trust DW. I agree the crown seems a bit thick. But the price is refreshingly good, and the Venus manual wind movement is great. What else do the experts have to say, is this worth buying?

I was thinking about the same thing, is it time to pop for a gen? For me it would probably be the GMT Master II black bezel. But then I think, would it bring $8,000 of happiness to me?

I've been in the rep collecting game now for over 10 years, I remember buying a Rollie GMT from aBay Paul for $175 with gen ETA movement. I'm still in the game but with reps averaging $350 - 500 and all the hassles with lack of payment options and QC issues that seem to accompany these prices I am buying much less frequently than I used to. I'm not at the point where I'm ready to walk away from the game completely as I still marvel at the new issues the factories come up with. But every time I contact a TD about a watch I'm interested in there is a certain amount of hesitancy when I think about the potential hassles ahead.

I looked at this too, really like this AP style, my 6.5" wrist can't handle the ROOs. The quartz doesn't bother me (blasphemy I know). I actually have one similar to this I bought a good 6 years ago from Connie KIng, but the fit and finish isn't very nice and I just don't wear it. From Josh's pics this new version seems much nicer than the one I have from King. I'm seriously thinking of getting this one.

I just read on another forum that the gen is 41mm, and this rep is 44mm. So disappointed, I was seriously considering getting this, gorgeous watch.
