A few years ago I walked into Tourneau at Water Tower Place in Chicago, was browsing the Rollies, and the sales rep behind the counter began telling me about a recent seminar they all attended on how to spot fake Rolex. She said "they showed us some examples, and we couldn't believe what excellent quality they were", I'm like "really? I had no idea", trying to keep a straight face. Anyway, I don't wear any reps into ADs, I'd be distracted and want to focus on looking at watches.

The white dial Broad Arrow is such a handsome watch, I wish it would be produced again, accurately. I'm positive it would sell very well.

I thought a bit more about this, on this foruma and others, thre are people that have had relatively good dealings with him recently. Communiction was easy and they did get their watches, a lthough one guy got a black dial PN when he ordered a white dial. And then there are a few that post saying they haven't gotten their stuff at all. Very erratic experiences.

Watchman, $2850 - that's crazy, I'd like to hear the whole story though. Hopefully you get this sorted out, and it doesn't take a year. I, same as panerai153, really want one of DW's gold Daytonas but no way am I going to send him $500 without any recourse. I have to ask this, may be it's time to re-evaluate David's status here?

So BP does the blue Yachtmaster too. Very nice, I'm thinking about one but the stamped bezel numerals are almost off the outer edge of the bezel, bugs me. The new one are all like that unfortunately.

Joey, the bezel on your GMT, it's stock? Looks really nice, the number cutouts are deep and thick. I have a recent GMT from Joshua and can't stand the bezel markers, so thin and anemic.

Yep, I don't really see the "random flake" pattern of the CF at all. I do see brushed steel pattern though. So wait, if this isn't Angus or Joshua based, is this a THIRD version? C'mon

I am strongly right-handed, if I try to do anything with my left hand it's totally useless. That said, I wear my watches on my left wrist, if I put one on my right, the strap or bracelet is WAY too tight, uncomfortably so. I measured and my right wrist is one eighth of an inch thicker than left, due to using right hand exclusively. So I have to wear watches on left wrist only.

To me the carbon fiber pattern looks like woodgrain or damascus knife effect. The gen carbon fiber pattern is more random, looks like compressed flakes, does anyone agree? And it looks a bit plasticky to me. Anyway, cool looking watch, but I think I'd prefer DLC case.

I've been to TaoBao a few times looking for some Bottega Veneta leather goods, I love the leather cross-weave pattern. Found some very nice stuff in there but have absolutely no idea how to purchase, I feel like a kid locked out of a candy shop.

The GMT IIc is my favorite in the Rolex range - but seeing this rep vs. gen bezel insert comaparo makes me want to not wear my rep GMT, the bezel insert is not even close.

I posted regarding my annoyance with the bezel insert on my recently purchased GMT IIc a few weeks ago, I too was asking about where to get a better bezel insert, not too many replies. I absolutely love this watch. But the bezel insert really kills it for me. As freddy suggested, I could paint in the insert markings with platinum paint, however, wouldn't that fill in the markings more, and decrease/eliminate the depth all together? The gen insert has shadows and highlights in the markings, which really gives it depth.

Hi all, had some time to kill before an appointment yesterday and stopped into a jeweller's, tried on the new style blue dial Yachtmaster, and it was just stunning. $11,500 worth of stunning. So do any of our beloved TDs have a fairly decent version? I looked at Josh's, and I'm not sure this is the new style or not. BTW I'm not as picky as some of you guys regarding accuracy. Thanks very much.
