  1. Thanks freddy. Anywhere else I can find an insert? Any TD have a nice one on their offering?
  2. I have a GMT IIc I got from Joshua about 6 months ago. Pretty nice watch but the bezel insert numbers are WAY too thin, and the insert itself is a grayish black - really bugs me. Is there a more true to gen bezel insert I could buy that's not very expensive? Sorry for thread diversion.
  3. OK, so, truthfully -used Audis are reliable? May I ask, are they expensive to maintain and fix?
  4. A few comments if I may - I recently saw my first 2013 Fusion in the wild, looked inside and the interior trim was stunningly cheap looking. Talked to my independent mechanic recently and he says they get a lot of recent Ford Focuses and Fusions in for repair, those who don't want to pay dealer's service charges. I've been thinking of buying a new car now for awhile, have a 9 year old bulletproof Honda Accord with 168,000 miles on it. Can't really find what I'm looking for - a very small, but very fun to drive car, I need to park it in a very congested north side of Chicago often. The closest I've come to is the Mini Cooper, but I can't stand the huge speedometer ring, and by the time you option it up you're looking at about $26,000, and it takes premium gas. Any other suggestions?
  5. This is interesting, so this movement was fabricated here in the States?
  6. Hike, what exactly was wrong with the DW Daytona you received? Also, Spin's Daytonas go for just under $600.00, yes? And I had no idea DW was in the UK, I just asumed he was in Hong Kong or thereabouts. Thanks again guys, very helpful.
  7. Thanks much, cc. Now I'm excited, but think I'll have to wait until CNY is over, bah. I'll show you guys when I get it.
  8. Thanks much for replies, guys. cc and Freddy, your watches are stunning. I want something different, exotic yet elegant. Before I contact David, does anyone know what dial choices he has for gold Daytonas? Thanks again.
  9. Is the clearout due to a new improved version of the Daylight coming out?
  10. I've been on the rep watch scene now for over 9 years and have never seen anything on this level - my sincere respect to you Thomas.
  11. Hmm, OK, not holding anything against you but, if I were to walk into your dealership and you appraoched me wearing one of those watches I'd run the other way thinking you must make a whole lot of profit off your customers. Just my opinion. I'd wear those watches when going out for the night instead.
  12. Not familiar with Ryan, how to get in touch with him please?
  13. Nautilus...achingly beautiful - I like that and fully agree.
  14. Happy THhanksgiving to everyone, and thank you to RWG and other forums for giving me NINE years of enjoyment on this hobby.
  15. I've used WU a number of times, with Connie Kingwatch. I think I paid only about $15 to send $350, and Connie gave me a discount that more than made up for the $15. I would only use WU with dealers i KNOW will give me impeccable after-purchase service. Only thing that struck me was counting out all those 20 dollar bills, made me realize how expensive our reps have gotten.
  16. Beautiful watch, Rolex gold is in a class by itself, enjoy it.
  17. Ya well I sent RBJ a TT Sub to mod and give it his "spa" treatment - I was stupid enought to enclose $250 cash in the package. When I didn't get an e-mail from him for awhile I called him, remember he gave out his home phone number? Anyway, I call him, asking if he safely got my package, he tells me his entire dining room is filled with unopened packages, laughing, he thought it was funny. No log for when the package came in, nothing. He had to dig to find my package and call me back, it took him another 4 months until I got my watch from him. I was not impressed.
  18. Same happened in Chicago. Omega pulled their stock from Tourneau in Water Tower Place on upper Michigan Avenue, and set up a very nice boutique just up the street. As a matter of fact, I may go up there soon at lunchtime, haven't been in a long time.
  19. I don't know about the styrofoam but how about the relatively cheap small tupperware style food storage boxes made by Zip Lock that one can buy at any supermarket? Fill that with styro peanuts and your buyer will be impressed.
  20. I just received a budget ($158) GMT IIc from Joshua. To me the fit and finish of the watch is quite good, personally I don't think the incorrect handstack is that noticeable. The 2 things that bug me are the thin bezel markers, and no AR on the cyclops. Does anyone know if there is a better bezel insert with correct thickness markers? And if so, would be relatively easy to install?
  21. He actually brags in writing what he's done...psycho.
  22. Get a Seiko diver, less than $200, respected by watch afficionados the world over.
