  1. Don't flame if if already discussed but, isn't the BP bracelet and clasp garbage, it falls apart?
  2. Welcome, and I saw your tuto about basic watch modding with stuf laying around house, on RWI I think? It was really. really helpful, please post here.
  3. LOVE it. Makes the old SM 300 look really, really dated and old fashioned. OK, now I have to rationalize spending over $300 I was not planning on. Here goes: "well you haven't bought a watch in 7 months...the AP diver is too big for you...the new LM PO is too shiney for you...the new Noob Subc is still too controversial...you have all the Pams you need... OK! I think I'm almost ready to buy.
  4. Would lubricating the crown stem with stem grease help the crown/tube situation?
  5. OK, so, anyone order the blue one yet?
  6. LIke I said, it will be interesting if they can pull of a true 2 color ceramic insert, but of course the bezel numbers will probably be too thin.
  7. A few people have contacted this unknown dealer, paid and gotten QC pics. Angus is now offering this one.
  8. Rolexman, in your pics the bezel def looks engraved - the is a very thin shadow on the edge of the 2 in "20" Khashayar - your bezel looks flat, painted Weird... Anyway, I think bezel looks better engraved, kicks bezel up a nothch, Omega should do that. I am so, so tempted to get the blue... I need a new watch pick-me-up, haven't bought anything in 7months.
  9. I would imagine creating a decent looking two color ceramic bezel would be quite difficult.
  10. madmex, could we see some photos of your black one please?
  11. What is the dealer's name? If not appropriate, could you please PM me?
  12. Noel, tried sending you a PM but it wouldn't take. May I ask, what dealer did you get this Bond SMP from? It's stunning.
  13. 6.5" wrist so plenty experience here. I use a lubricant/solvent called Liquid Wrench. Soak the offending screws/links overnight, then use jewellers screwdriver - make sure the blade tip is correct size -that is, blade tip fits screw edge to edge < very important. Tap the screwdriver end a few times with hammer while blade is in screw, to try and break the seal. Sometimes factories use clear lacquer to seal screw ends (!!!) Then get a good grip and SLOWLY but forcefully try to turn the screw. If that fails, take to watchsmith, but, I have had some scratch the bracelet sides by the time they get screw out. They don't give a rats ass about that.
  14. OK so I read on Repgeek that Angus said it took 1 year to perfect this rep and he doesn't know if or how long it will take to do the 42mm blue titanium PO, he was def hedging about it. Comments?
  15. That's what I think too. I haven't bought a watch in over 6 months and am dying to, but I have to wait - for the 42mm blue PO titanium, the Pelagos, the JLC Reverso. Guess I'll pick up one of the Noob Subs after the dust settles, it's such an iconic design. Patience, patience
  16. OK, I gotta ask, when I see the word "prototype" I think it's something that is still being perfected. Why would someone buy it if it's still in progress?
  17. I want the 42mm blue titanium too, skinny wrist. When is that one due to come out?
  18. Yep, talk to Angus or Toro. The cartel does not exactly like the noob factory.
  19. I think the RG Michael Kors watches all the vapid trixies wear ruined the RG Daytona for me.
  20. By-Tor, where you been hiding buddy? Good to see you posting. I agree, I've tried to like the new Submariner but it's not growing on me. The design is just trying too hard to be "modern" to appeal to a younger market. It reminds me of the new Cadillac design language, sharper, more aggressive lines, more pumped up curves, more muscular. I don't care for the new Caddys much either, lol.
  21. I have a DW mystery movement Daytona bought about 6 years ago, when there was a flurry of buying by the forum members and David was much more reliable. Anyway I have to agree about the diminutive size. Mine looks pristine, because I've hardly ever worn it. I have 6.5" wrists and it just looks smaller than 38mm case,I think it's due to the fact it's a chrono - all my other chronographs are 40mm and above. I guess I'll take it out of the watch box now, give it a wind and wear it around the house for a few hours, see if it grows on me.
  22. I was thinking of buying one and mounting it on a stand to put n my desk, thought that would look cool. No way this would work on my 6.5"wrist.
