  1. The rep that's currently out there has the bezel paint in the wrong order, opposite of this new GMT.
  2. Very, very nice, congrats. So this is the low beat movement, I take it? If so, is the seconds hand stutter noticeable? I understand an updated version may be coming out with high beat movement, but I'm not sure I have the patience to wait. I really want this watch but with dark blue face.
  3. Hey Bill, welcome back. Are you still rolling the Jeep Rubicon? Anyway, I always enjoyed your posts, hope you stay awhile. MBW has faded away, to be replaced by TC Subs, the best out there right now. Look at those.
  4. Well this is terrible. I frequent RWI and he's always on there, very rude to newbs, just nasty. He even had a thread there showing many photos of CNY in Los Angeles, had a pic of himself in a few shots. He looks mean. I truly hope the mods at RWI can straighten this out.
  5. I've been looking but haven't seen any for sale, I don't think this is a very popular replica.
  6. I've been thinking of getting this watch for about 4 months now. Went so far as to contact Trevor about it, and he surprisingly told me he didn't recommend buying it, too many QC problems. Another forum member, I forgot whom, also said he gave up buying one because after 4 rounds of QC pics from his dealer, there wasn't one watch that met his approval. Then again I've read some reviews with photos in which people absolutely love their ceramic Seamaster, and it looks just perfect. <shrug> I'm not sure what to do.
  7. Ugh, I was this close to ordering the updated Navi from Trusty, now I have to wait longer.
  8. Hmm, Sora eh? Think I'll try him, I like to try TDs under the radar, they try harder.
  9. Really cheesy, I had to say it.
  10. Prometheus Sailfish is a very nice FF homage selling for about $550, I'm thinking of getting one.
  11. The GMT IIc is one of my favorite Rolexes. Unfortunately I can't live with the flaws of the rep - the thin bezel engravings and innacurate color, and the lack of cyclops AR. If you can even get one, isn't a gen replacement bezel expensive?
  12. Where did you buy it from Mike? It's a nice looking piefe. I'm thinking of getting the Tiger Concept Black Bay version.
  13. Where can one obtain MBW these days?
  14. 15300 for my slim wrist, proportions are just more elegant. I'm getting a bit tired of the Pam look to be honest - big cases swamping wrists.
  15. Hmm, I was going to go see it on this monday evening, but now I'm wondering if it won't be a waste of time. Hate going to a movie and coming out feeling I've been had. I think I'll go see American Hustle instead.
  16. Around $800? Say it isn't so, Toro. Although there is a precedent - does anyone remember a vintage Daytona that was going for $1000? For some reason I recall member ExtraExtra having one. Anyway, what do people think of the current FF chrono available from our dealers?
  17. A real shame David Wong's gone missing....he would have been able to supply you with the gold Daytona for about $500, I really want one myself.
  18. Resurrecting this post brings back memories, when I used to take the CTA El to work, like Sneed. The only time I saw someone wearing a rep, for sure, was a guy sporting a Tag chrono with the blue film still on the tip of the pushers, LOL.
  19. Looking at Trusty's website for the movement and function specs on this Spacedweller there is no way it functions even a bit like the original. Nice looking watch though.
  20. 6.5" wrist here - tried on the 45mm at an AD recently, it wore way too big, looked like a platter on my wrist, I think the design makes it look bigger on the wrist than it really is. My 44m Pams wear better.
  21. eepeetree. sorry to hear of your disappointment, such a gorgeous watch. There was a member on another forum that went through 3 of these Portus, they all failed, he finally gave up. A real shame about these watches, I guess the only option is a quartz.
  22. If you have security concerns when travelling, why would you even consider wearing a rep Daytona? That watch is easily recognizable as a Rolex, and it could be removed from you in an unpleasant way. Personally I wear a modest Seiko when I travel, don't want to attract attention.
  23. Re-reading this post I think the OP is looking for a ceramic Sub, not the classic.
