Hi all, I've finally decided I'd like to acquire a Chopard MM GTXL chronograph - the gray dial limited edition. In doing my research as to which dealer to purchase from, I've come across three price points, quite a wide spread: Joshua - $478, with asian clone Valgranges movement (same movement as gen) Tony at asian7750.com - $418, with high beat a7750 Connie of Kingwatch - $338, with high beat a7750 So I'm not sure which watch to buy, I certainly don't want to overpay but I'm wondering if Josh's version is worth the extra money, and Connie's price seems to low. Thank you in advance.

The DJ reps are all the same quality, pretty good actually. Just go with a trusted dealer. As for the ETA question thee has been much debate, some say IF you get a gen ETA movement it will be old, dirty, recycled from another watch.

The Tag Heuer Link series are pretty decent from what I've read. Dealer Trevor said he had the Panda as recently as April 2011, can anyone confirm this or is he bait and switching?

If you have a Rolex AD close by, go there and try on both watches, it will help you make a decision. Personally I think the DSSD is bloated, a Pam wannabe. The GMT IIc is elegant yet sporty, with jewel-like finish. A sexy tool watch. The only tell that it's rep though is the date cyclops in not AR'd. Can you tell I'm biased?

My humble thought, if you acquire an a7750 driven chronograph and you really love its looks, it's a keeper, then get it a full service by someone who truly knows a 7750 movements, like The Zigmeister (and there aren't many smiths who will work on them). Then you can confidently use the chrono functions, just like the gen, until your next service in about 5 years or so.

Krister, you must have ordered the black dial? The white dial has been unavailable for almost a year now.

I asked all the dealers I know for one about a month ago - out of production, none available. Just the way it is. Post a want to buy, but be prepared to pay top dollar for a used rep.
