  1. my genuine is also stiff to turn exactly like my "ultimate version 45"........be careful what you wish for
  2. davidsen's hand set installed on my fiddy.
  3. davidsen sells much better hands then what comes from the factory for $25 with superlume. get some
  4. bruce, these pics look great! i love the white backdrop. really brings out the watch. looks great by the way
  5. how's my old sub? my opinion, it's hard to get endlinks to fit properly to the case and lugs. lots of times there is a big gap which is a quick givaway to a rep. you can fix the etching, you can fix the crowngaurds, you can replace the crown and tube, you can relume (to do it properly make sure it's not too bright as genuine rolex lume is kind of weak if you ask me) but even to the non-wis, people associate a genuine rolex with quality and perfection so ill fitting bracelets give it away more even than crown gaurds do. i think the endlinks are the first place to start modding. and i am not a rolex guy
  6. i would not bother with the datewheel. i think the 63 has the best datewheel/cyclops of any pam rep. this one looks really good as it is.
  7. of course! every watch i get gets dunked in hot water/dishsoap mix for a cleaning. i then pull the caseback after drying and check for any sign of moisture. i watch for bubbles when in the water.
  8. this looks great i like it. i think it needs the old "oxyclean bath" to bring out the Ti color.
  9. funny......this was on my "must have" list for a looooong time but never gets the wrist time it deserves. the bezel is polished on the gen. nice work
  10. i agree brown is not the right color. i wanted to see how easy it would be to fit a pam strap. it was very easy and this strap was going to no use so........black or carbon would look best. maybe rubber too.
  11. that's exactly what i'd get too! platinum.....
  12. looks kind of dino zie......i'm sticking with the steel. just wanted to post some pics so everyone can see some possiblities for the ingy.
  13. why butcher a $3500 watch? why not use a rep......anyways i appreciate the time and effort here. the kind of thing i like to do as well.
  14. ingy chrono.........
  15. just playing around. i cut a 26/22 pam strap to a perfect for the ingy! i like the steel better but it's not bad
  16. i agree. i'll do the relume sooner or later along with an AR coating for both. these two are not high on my list right now for mods. have to finish my 2 vc overseas first. cross upgrades and AR coatings. and i have a bunch of pam projects that will also come first.
  17. be dangerous.......get the chrono!
  18. dial detail is amazing....no chips.....lume is horrible! almost none at all. chrono is a much better looker i think. seconds@6 runs not so smooth. kind of choppy but keeps time very well.
  19. i may weld it with a mig. if not i'll apply some gorilla glue. wieght is about the same
  20. same caseback.....same serial#
  21. stay away from the gold subs.....they are not good. gold plating wears off quick on the clasp and looks fake a mile away. also the weight is way off for gold.
  22. also i will add that the lume color on davidsen's looks way off....
  23. i will give my opinion here..... no one will notice the length of the hands is not right unless you are in the AD doing a side by side comparison so what's the point to go crazy with dials and such? i will say the finish and lume on the gen hands makes a big upgrade.
