  1. My small watch collection. It all started with the 1978 Rolex which was passed from my grandfather to my dad and down to me a few months ago. From left to right: Rep Hublot Big Bang 301 (44mm), Gen 1978 Rolex Oyster Air King, Invicta Automatic (no idea of model name), TW Steel Canteen TW-11 (50mm), TW Steel CEO 4004 (48mm). Obviously the TW Steel watches are gen as they only retail for $500 & $900 respectively & the Invicta was about $100 (bargain!). The Rolex as per the receipt was $270 (bought on the 18th May 1978) so by today's inflation makes it about $1000, I did however have it valued recently at $3000 if I had is serviced and some restoration done to remove some scratches and a slightly damaged second hand. Thanks!
  2. Just snagged a Phong midcase/caseback, yuki hev, and clarks bezel assembly/crystal from fellow member Think7. All I can say is: WOW. Flawless transaction and the fastest shipping I've ever experienced (coast to coast in 2 days!). I'd like to drop a 1570 in here, but for the moment I will settle with an eta. Does anyone besides yuki sell the eta movement adaptor? I also have an old-school MBW bezel/thin numbers insert - would this be more accurate than the clarks assembly?
  3. Few pictures of my new purchase. I got it from a member here and it is my first Daytona ever It was a cloudy day in Scotland today: People post photos of their dogs so i decided i will show my cats : Thanks!
  4. Hi guys, I want to share with You few photographs i took today while enjoying Scottish seaside. Overcast cloudy sky, but it didn`t rain at least. There were watches, ships, bikes and nice lunch in small Italian cafe Enjoy: Thanks!
  5. Few photos for You enjoyment! Typical Scottish weather today, sunshine and storm at once Thanks

    Gold!

I've been wearing this golden beast daily for a few weeks. Great watch, very comfortable and practical. I have yet to see any pics or comments regarding this watch, so I thought I'd post a pic.
  7. Today I'd like to introduce my 5513 which I bought from dutchguy2 who build this watch very well. I really love to wear that watch...it looks sooooo gorgeous Specs:
  8. Month old rolex prohunter GMt from Andrew at trusty time glass keeps popping out...lucky to have found it each time but is getting very frustrating. Any tips on best way to secure and keep it in place? Any hop/ideas will be greatly appreciated.
  9. Hello Gents, Here are a few quick pics of my 42mm Ceramic Cobalt Blue Rolex Submariner. I own a gen Sub and when I ask people which one is gen they always pics the 42mm! Of course they're just your average person. We all know Rolex never made a 42mm sub or did they ???LOL Well enjoy the pics!
  10. Hi troops, Bored this evening i thought i might take few photographs of my favorite Rolex. Enjoy! Thanks!
  11. Hello, I'm looking for the best submariner please. Does anyone know where I can buy the most accurate one? Thanks
  12. Hello Gents, Any suggestions on how to fix this? I was told it happens quite often on reps. Also any ideas on how to tighten the divers extension so it doesn't keep opening every time I try to put the watch on?
  13. My obsession with the lugs on this watch made me reshape them this morning. I think it was Dow who told me not to ever look at them because it would drive me crazy..... well it did! Also a little while back I had damaged the plexi so today I finally got a new one and again had to drop it down to make it more of a gen height. Your comments and thoughts would be appreciated. The work on the lugs as well as dropping of the Clark T19 plexi was done with a dremel tool and then sanded to smoothen things up. Gen for comparison: Lugs: Plexi: I think I could probably take off a little bit more but you know how it is with case shaping. "Perfect is the enemy of good" Mine: Before: Notice the lack of the slant on the edge there. After: Lugs: Crystal replaced:
  14. Hi, I'm looking to buy Rolex -GMT Master 2 116710LN with full black Ceramic Bezel. The watch has to be exact replica with a genuine swiss automatic movement. It has to be water resistance at least 50 meter. Basically speaking, i want the watch to be the top quality that it ever can get. Can anyone help me to find a trusted dealer or seller to buy it? thank you,
  15. A friend of mine (who needs a better camera or cellphone) told me that her grand dad had a Rolex that had been sitting in a drawer for years I asked her for pics and this is what I got. my question Is whether there is any Indication here in this blurry mess that would tell me whether to persue this piece or not. Or even If Its rep or gen?
  16. Hi all! I want to buy an Explorer 2 216570 Black dial. I read some reviews in this forum and others but none compares the different versions. If you guys can help me decide which version to choose: - I better buy the "ultimate" or "noob" version? (big difference in quality?) - SwissETA or Asian 25J movement? - I want a black but the white version is better? Hope some can give some advices Thanks in advance
  17. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-Submariner-wristwatch-Dial-refinished-27-mm-in-diameter-/221120302309?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item337bcc0ce5 stunning work really
  18. I haven't seen these on his site before, wanted to know if anyone has one/if they're any good (especially interested if these are 'wokky'). http://www.ingod44.com/rolex-completed-case-submariner-6538-big-crown/ It looks VERY similar to NDT's and Minh's offerings: http://ndtradingcorp.com/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=259
  19. Have been lusting for a Rolex 6538 for quite some time. Especially the version with red triangle bezel and explorer dial... Guess it goes to back to seeing gen inspiration like these: Started hoarding cheap parts (total sum slightly above $100): - Silix ROL5 case set - 3-6-9 dial and hands from Rafflestime - Athaya 8 mm crown, 0,9 mm for auto movements - DG2813 movement, movement - Yuki pearl After a couple of destroyed dg2813's (or just with keyless works issues) and I started realizing my limitations when it comes to oyster homages. There also started to appear superb looking budget builds from Akira on the forums - especially some with stunning tropical dials... Took contact and it turned out he was a great guy to talk to, exchange inspiration and ideas with - and for some reason he gladly accepted to help to help. I was a very happy man, kudos mate! Here's how the case set and dial looked stock, pretty crappy looking dial to be honest: Pile of parts: Here's what Akira set out to do: - drilling lugholes - shaving, fitting plexi - reluming, ageing dial + hands - ageing insert - ageing, polishing case - drilling case and glueing Athaya tube into the case - tropical brown dial The hope was that the dial would end up magical like this gen: To be honest, I had no real hopes starting out with the cheap parts I did. It's not Phong and Minhq in the parts list after all... However, when the pictures started coming from Akiras shop I literally just fell of my chair And now, I just couldn't be happier with the end result I'll skip to end results now, hope it gives inspiration to the rest of you guys. Donerix was kind enough to make me a custom strap with buckle for this one. Please shoot in any questions here or comments! Wristies:
  20. Finished these today! Akira
  21. Friends and Experts I am pretty new to the REP market...just got my second rep from TT and awaiting the watch. First being - PAM 332 Limited edition expendables watch(a definite super-rep) and now waiting the Brietling Skyland Avenger Black Chrono(a very good rep). Just wanted to know which are the SUPER REPS available in the market today? Can someone please guide. Brand doesnt matter I know there are some very good Subs and some Pams around as a super rep. Anything else in Rolex, Brietling, Tag etc?
  22. Im looking for someone to do some work on my Hublot BB and Panerai. They both keep stopping after about an hour. If anyone has any recommendations on a watch repair man please let me know.
  23. Hi All, I'm looking at buying a rep Rolex Day Date II in Yellow Gold with Champagne dial and the presidential clasp. Came across the one on TT's website, and having bought a fantastic Hublot from him last year - definitely willing to give it a go again. Just wondering if anyone has purchased this model before, what is the quality of the gold plating, how is the weight of the watch and how much wear and tear is happening on it (gold rubbing off) etc? Any advice greatly appreciated.
  24. I had a 40mm polar Explorer a while back, and I really liked it.. not quite sure why I got rid of it - just wanted a change I guess. Now I'm wondering.. is there any rep variation with lug holes? Or has anyone drilled them themselves on one of these?
  25. This is my first purchase from Joshua at Perfect Clones. So far have had a good experience with the exception of my address being incorrect, but now that I look back at the QC photos I could have caught it. DSSD - M660304 Let me know what you guys think?
