archibald
Just picked up Accelerate, the new one from REM. Back to their roots in many ways ... Their best since Fables of the Reconstruction, which it reminds me of. Since I started playing guitar again after a 10+ year break, I've been listening to a lot of Alternative Folk or low-fi, or whatever you want to call it. I would Recommend: Elliott Smith--ELLIOT SMITH Jose Gonzalez--IN OUR NATURE Sufjan Stevens--ILLINOIS Mary Lou Lord: LIVE CITY SOUNDS The Moore Brothers--MURDERED BY THE MOORE BROTHERS

By-Tor
I must be the only DMB fan in Europe. I know how huge they are in the US, but this fine band is virtually unknown here. They have made some remarkable albums. I like their live stuff much more (Central Park DVD is amazing), but this ain't a bad studio effort. cmetalprog
Hi guys, Really good idea to talk about music , thanks By-Tor I'm actually listening to music since I'm young mainly progressive music , metal to death ( swedish prog/death ). Nowadays I cannot take off last record of Opeth Watershed from Sweden , start to be well known and famous, last album is so good , plenty of different influences , it's definitly one of my favourite band I recommend it. stilty
At the moment I'm listening to a band called Everest. They hail from L.A. Some great classic americana meets California surf. If you like the Jayhawks or Wilco, check these guys out. There's even a bit of Paul Simon in there, especially in the track called Trees. They are opening up for Neil Young here in October, so since I'm going to the show, I figured I would check them out. Everest on Myspace
