Cats Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 We have seen some threads lately showing that RWG is a community were you can make true friends during the years. This morning i told my wife that i was getting sick and tired of laying in bed half of the day with no energy left after the radiation therapy. She told me to be patient and that it will get better after a few weeks from now onward. When she left for work i heard the door bell ring and I managed to get out of bed in time to open the door for the post man who had a parcel from Schuhren watches from Germany. My first thoughts were " Did i send out to Andy for repair ??? " When i opened the parcel my breath was caught in my throat. You can't imagine how i felt when i realized what was in the parcel. Realizing that my friends on RWG , several of them i met personally on the GTG's , gave me a present made my cry. The inscription on the back makes me realize even more that i have some very special friends. My wife and son told me that they were very impressed by the great gesture of my friends on RWG. I owe a few watches some gen and some reps but this one , next to the Tissot I inherited form my dad , is more then a GEN and has a great emotional value. GUYS I CAN'T FIND TO RIGHT WORDS TO THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS GREAT TOKEN OF FRIENDSHIP. THE KNOWLEDGE THAT I'M NOT ALONE IN MY FIGHT GIVES ME A LOT OF STRENGTH AND POSITIVE ENERGY. I love the look and feel of this beauty , great double sided AR and a super finish ( sorry about the fingerprint ) And finally the wristy Many pics to come when i found the right set up for better pictures of this beauty. I cant think of a more deserving person than you my friend..my best wishes go out to you Cats. This is the main reason why I love RWG..It's not just about the watches...not for me at least... It's about the wonderful members that make up this great community. Some of the finest people I have ever met In my life are here at RWG...here's to those members. Some of us met you, some not, but many wanted to send you more than just best wishes. I will certainly not pretend I know what YOU are fighting. But being the other half of a wonderfull woman who just finished the Radio Therapy herself, I have a much better picture of what it means than when you and I sit talking about cancer at our first GTG waiting for everyone to arrive. No need to say how much I am impressed by the force you guys can show. The watch is awesome, the watchmaker isn't as awesome , but he made a great job and is a fantastic human So are you Cats. I keep my finger crossed and am certain that you and your familly will find the strenght and patience to go through all this, once again. Hoping for the last time!
