rolojack Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Here it is again for your eyes: my PCG. Now fitted with a repolished Yuki bracelet... This looks so much better than the folded one! For those who don't know this watch, here are the specs: Polex mid case re milled (1mm less on the upper part and bottom reshaped) to reach the gen thickness and have the crown appear higher. CG side welded and recarved with gen spec height and shape PCG, Vietnam bezel assy, Yuki dial and bracelet, Athaya crown... 4
Revere Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Looks nice! I'm curious about what you used to age your bezel. I've been working on aging one of mine recently and I can't find a single solvent that will take away some of its color, so maybe there is another solution I haven't heard about.
rolojack Posted June 24, 2015 Author Report Posted June 24, 2015 Destop. Careful, it will bleach out everything in no time, so just a few secs
dbane883 Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Nice. Great photos too. What set up do you use? Presume ur using a macro lens with a dslr...Lightbox? What about lighting?

Lorenove06 Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 OMG ! This goes just to the core of building watches: making a rep piece looks as close to gen as possible without any gen part... It's almost art.

rolojack Posted June 25, 2015 Author Report Posted June 25, 2015 Nice. Great photos too. What set up do you use? Presume ur using a macro lens with a dslr...Lightbox? What about lighting? I am outside on a cloudy day. Watch is layed on a A0 paper and shooting is done with an old Lumix. Then I simply push the brightness and contrast on Photoshop!
rolojack Posted June 25, 2015 Author Report Posted June 25, 2015 Thank you so much all for the warm comments! I am really proud ! I started this watch about 6 years ago and remodded it countless times! Never really happy untill today.
Nanuq Posted June 25, 2015 Report Posted June 25, 2015 I love how thin and sexy it looks with that mm milled off. Very nice!
