By-Tor
I detached this to another topic from the Discovery thread. Well what do you think? (This is gen of course. No rep yet.)
Ronin
I personally like it better then the PO chrono... However, it reminds me more of a Tag Heuer than an Omega even with the orange highlights. -Ronin
By-Tor
I never warmed up to the PO Chrono for some reason. However this is quite a stunner. But then again I can't be objective as I'm a fanboy of the 1911 series. That case shape and design are simply perfect. This is the "Rouge" version. I think these will be introduced in the Basel show. The orange version is quite a departure from the dressy "Panda" don't you think?
cornerstone
It's funny - this was a watch that had passed me by for ages too: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Ebel-1911-Orange-Love-t90706.html I love it.
KB
Yes it is sexy but then I like the PO too. Ken

robertk
Excellent Taste. This one is stunning. Rep it and it's coming to me!
Maxim
I really don't like the orange, it makes it look like a Jaffa cake and is kind of reminiscent of the whole Focus ST bravadoishness.
TeeJay
A definite case of PlanetOceanitis, but a very appealing watch I probably wouldn't wear the Rouge variant, but I do like how it looks
pubus
i love orange they better get this one repped if they want my money!!
By-Tor
i love orange they better get this one repped if they want my money!! I think this would be very easy to do for the factories. Just change the bezel color of the black version, install the strap and bang... you got your Pumpkin.
trailboss
Yeah! It's amazing how different this watch looks in the various colours. It's hard enough to make up my mind between blk and wht! I think a trip to the AD is going to be needed to see both first. If they rep the colours as well I'm in real trouble. This is one of those rare repa I could see myself buying more than one of. Col. EDIT: I think this would look even nicer on a course CF strap like the one on the PO I posted in one of BTs's threads recently.
hackR
definitely great looking...the solid black look of this dial is growing on me... the different bezel options makes this watch that much more sporty... the black dial version with the black bezel definitely can cross into the dressy/formal category...adding the colored bezels, tho, lessens the dressy/formal capabilities IMO, but sports it up... like the PO, i think while it's probably a little more "conservative" to go with the black dial, black bezel - b/c it gives you more dress options... fitipaldi2
wow, beautiful watch! But I prefered this Beaume & Mercier to be replicated first: They need to change only some colours from the previous rep. I hope rep factories could be my dream true. P4GTR
I don't like the screws in the top of the case around the bezel, they are out of place and break up the lines of the watch. When switched to the stainless Ebel bracelet, it looks like a walmart watch. It's plain, overpriced, and does nothing to break the mold, which is what Ebel needs to do if they want to gain notoriety. They copied Omega and want $2,500 for doing so? And let me get this straight, gen companies have it in for reps? Whatever. I don't like it. RobbieG
I like the pumpkin, but I especially like this version. A very unique shade of red. Either are a nice departure and something a bit different in a chrono.
morlock
The orange version is nice, but it is "too much" homage to the PO, I rather go with the red version. Ebel doesn't deserve to be call out as a copycat of Omega.
iceclimber
I agree with RobbieG and morlock...pumpkin says PO to me, but that RED says will that be asian or ultimate????
By-Tor
I guess Omega is a copycat of Doxa then, unless they own the copyright for the orange color.

Toadtorrent
It's funny how we attribute certain design aspects to a particular brand/model.
mbjoer
Hmmmmmm. Not so sure about this pumpkin. It looks smart compared to the Panda in the manner a Swatch looks smart compared to a "real" watch. Funky if a lot cheaper....
