Tonight I decided I couldn't tolerate the bogus "figure eight" end midlink any more. It's the only wart on Mary's otherwise-perfect 7836 folded band. Here's the offending piece (women and men of weak disposition look away!) I had a bit of trouble along the way... But in the end it was Man +1 and Steel -0. What do you think? Mo' beddah? Now, you might ask where I got that lovely sacrificial midlink to cobble in there? Look no further than Yuki's folded riveted Oyster. That little piece right there. Et voilá

Hello friends of fine watchmaking, My Tudor 7016 is now ready and I want to introduce here. I hope you enjoy it! I have used the following parts: Cartel Case (completely revised). Case-Back Engraving by JMB. Athaya 700 Crown and Tube. ETA 2451 (the base calibre for the Tudor 2483) with a GEN Tudor assembly and rotor. Phong dial and hands (relumet). Phong vintage Insert. WSO Tropic 19 Plexi. And now the pictures:

"Now, you might ask where I got that lovely sacrificial midlink to cobble in there?" I keep a lookout for them on used bracelets of all kinds at yard sales and flea markets. Sometimes you can snag a bracelet with them for $3 or so.

I went with a gen T39 Superdome from many years ago on the Frosty Flake. I cut the sidewalls down so it didn't stick up so high and still I bashed it.

Come a long way since I bought this watch. I learned and experimented so many things. And I still have so much to learn. I love PCG 5513 but I have always thought it's to tricky for me to achieve a good Crown Guard shape. I have look to many pics and ask friends members some advices and more details photos. Today I woke up thinking it was time to improve this Cartel case. Here is the result after few hours of diamond files and 240, 400, 600, 1000, 1200, 1500 then 2000 sand papers grade. Need a little buffing. Very nice with Athaya 700 crown. [emoji632]
