  1. This is an honest response, but I doubt you are going to find it positive. And before you call out someone for being patronizing, you might want to re-read your own post. Are there any honest rep suppliers here? Yes, they are called trusted dealers. They are TD's because the forum members and Admins have had extensive dealings with them to know that they aren't out there trying to screw the members. Are there any perfectly copied, 1.1, AAAAAAAA++++++, Swiss made reps? No. While some watches are made from gen samples, there are none that are perfectly copied. Is there "marketing hype" in some of the TD's postings? Yes. Get over it. The TD's here are not the a$$holes online that post pictures of genuine reps and send you canal street junk. Buy from them and you will get the version of the watch you bought in as good a quality as it comes from the factory. The TD's wouldn't stay TD's if they were screwing people that way. You would also see tons of negative reviews. Are there some reps that are more accurate than others? Yes. If you take the time to read the forum you will see plenty of people posting the actual watches they have received, with discussions about the relative merits/flaws of the watch. Use the search function and read. The Milgauss pictured in Trusty's video looks like the pictures I have seen posted, so I'll assume it's of the rep and not the gen. Who's the best TD? There is no one "right" answer to that. Most can get any watch you need, but some are better at certain things than others (like communication, shipping to your particular location or updating their websites). There are many reviews of actual transactions with our TDs. Read those and you'll get a feel for who you want to deal with. Am I a good customer for rep watches? Based on this post. No. Your attitude is completely wrong, and I hope you lighten up if you want to enjoy this hobby. It takes a lot of research, patience, and putting up with things that happen (lost or damaged watches, time it takes to ship them, flaws you can't deal with, deals gone bad). Sh!t happens, and you'd better be able to deal with it without being stupid. Don't expect a lot of hand holding, and don't think you can throw down a rant like this with your 7th post and expect dealers to flock to you wanting to do business. They don't even flock to those of us that have the aforementioned traits. We have to seek them out, not the other way around. By the way, the member you just trashed is one of the most respected builders of Rolex frankens on this, or any of the other message boards. If you wanted something like a DateJust or DayDate, he would have been your guy and the watch you received would have been amazing.

  2. For the past six months I have been working on the Pam Guide. It was a dark, very tough, and long road. For those who are unaware of this project. It is, in short, a website hooked to a massive database which contains every rep Panerai. On the website you can filter down by attributes to find a Panerai to your liking. Click on a Panerai for its details. While doing this I neglected both my family and my job for this. But looking back it was worth it! I want to thank Ale from RWI for letting me use his Excel sheet. Without this I would not have been able to accomplish this. And of course you guys, for the kind words that kept me going. If you have any ideas or questions regarding the Pamguide, feel free to post them here. Feedback is appreciated. Also consider a donation to keep this bad boy alive. Even it's just a dollar or two. It's running on a very expensive dedicated server and it's hitting my wallet every month HARD... Ladies and gentlemen, I hereby present THE PAMGUIDE! Upcoming updates: - Strap makers section - Panerai Dictionary - Panerai classification - Panerai - A compare functionality Note: The Pamguide is gets updated when Ale's Excel sheet gets updated. So it is possible that the Pamguide does not contain yesterday's released PAMs.

  5. LOL, I had a pair of Vuarnet's like these too. Probably bought them in 1982 as well, when I lived in California. They were very popular out there then. Dave...

  10. I'm not too sure about these but $100 is very cheap. You are "buying a rolex" after all. I'd be tempted to save a few more $ and buy a noob version 2 from maybe torobravo2014 or a BP factory submariner from ttw888 (trusty time) for example. Both are trusted dealers Just advice because it would be bad to be disappointed when your flashy new watch arrives in the post! Whatever you decide enjoy it Peace Dusk

  12. Some really great advice and tips on here. I think I'm going to stick with the reps and have a string of one night stands until I find the right girl for me I'm not going to buy all at once either (although I've bought 6 reps this month) and find the 'sorted' examples on p2p as suggested from now Thanks all for this great advice and input!! 15. M2m for me every time. Some true gents on this forum ( you know who you are!) I even stick to uk sellers as I know when one of their pieces comes up it will be a cracker, I'd rather wait on these guys to sell than deal with china again. Ps. Stay away from sixx! He gets very confused. You buy a watch, he sends all sorts of other goodies. straps, buckles, sweeties and more!!! The poor man is clearly vulnerable and I simply would not want to see him taken advantage of. ;-) if you fellas can just give him some space and avoid his sales threads I will make sure he's looked after.

  17. If you can see this, please read it! The doctors are trying a new technique to reach you, but we are not certain where this message might appear in your dream. You have been asleep in a coma for almost ten years. Please if you can read this, try to wake up! We miss you.

  18. F#$% Me we've got a right one here. There is a section for OFF topic rants and this is RWG where the W stands for Watches, not "Wanky Theories" on other stuff

  19. So this is the BP factory version of the batman GMT II? I take it this is the same one all the dealers are selling right? What dealer did you get it from? Can you post a straight on shot of the dial, from the angle it looks like the spacing on the oyster perpetual is closer together like it should be.
