  1. Yes it is coming! I heard from a little birdie! And yes I'm in when its out! Jon
  2. Funny but very stupid film! I saw the unrated version w/ the extended "sex" scene! Lets just say its quite obscene. The "ronery, I'm so ronery" by Kim Jung Il was hilarious though! And the bit about "freedom ain't free, it cost a buck seventy five or something like that" was funny as @hit too! Jon
  3. Knock on wood but they have so far! I've got another on order as we speak. I'm redoing my "Ultimate Fiddy" w/ Sapphire since it had AR Mineral Glass from the dealer! I'm also doing Davidsen's capped hands and dial w/ upgraded Lume! Jon
  4. Thought I'd elaborate http://www.ofrei.com/page737.html Jon Also Davidsen's crystals are very nice. I've installed quite a few now for several members!
  5. Very glad to hear! Doesn't it feel good when its all done? Its so stressful while the watch is open but when I get that caseback on and double-check for dust/functionality it feels so good! Talk about a great beer break! Cheers, Jon
  6. Not yet but would like to some time. If anyone gets a Eastern US group together I would be down! Cheers, Jon
  7. Yeah I wondered about that too??? I'm guessing its the 26mm strap screws. These are easily replaceable. I'm actually going to purchase some 24 and 26mm versions just as spares! Jon
  8. Yes pull and push at the same time being very careful not to push too hard. Also be very careful not to slip off of the release button while pulling. This is one of those situations where a case holder/vise is very helpful! Good luck again! Jon
  9. Well you have one thing going for you! You purchased from EL who is the best at replacing watches quickly! Be polite and respectful and you should have a nice new one very soon! As far as the crystal, sapphire crystals often appear to have a pink tinge to them. I can see it plain as day on my last two EL watches, the 187 and the B for B 49mm. Good luck! Jon
  10. Mine is a bit off too, but I can live with it. I've learned that these little glitches can turn into major problems. For example. Here is the list of events I forsee for many members: -You order your EL 187 quickly and frantically because its the hottest rep out. -It arrives and you receive instant gratification. -You wind it up, set the date, and the time. -You push the chrono start button for the first time which is risky on the asian 7750s. -You let it run to break it in and lubricate itself. -You take the next risky move and stop the chrono and reset it. -It resets to zero! Yay! -Now its time to screw down those pushers and never use them again unless theres like a threat of aliens attacking and you have precisely 22.75 hours to live. -You wear your watch for a few days and feel like a million bucks. -After staring at your watch every time you walk past a mirror or drive your car you suddenly realize the bezel is misaligned by just a nut hair. -You think "I must fix this horrible flaw or everyone will know its a fake!" -So you go home and crack open the tackle box of tools that aren't really made for watch work . -You pry and pry on the bezel bending every butter knife in your wifes collection -You get the bezel off and realign it but when going to re-install it you bend it all to $hit. -You now have a very expensive PAM Paperweight, limited to 1000 peices! -If you are lucky and resourceful you obtain a replacement bezel, but when you get installed it suddenly hits you that you scratched the $hit out of the case removing the first one! There you have it! My newest motto is stolen from another member! Don't know who originally created it but it goes like this, "A rep is a rep!" I'm very happy with my EL 187 thus far! Lets just say I won't be following the above series of events. I'll turn my bezel a little off position and wear it w/ great pride! Cheers! Jon
  11. They should both come out. This is where you must be careful not to loose the "floating/extending pushers". Take a peice of paper and place it over the movement. Then carefully flip the watch over. The movement and ring will come out in your hand. Do all of these preferably in a well light area over a table and on a floor with no carpet. If you have an area like that! Good luck! Jon Yes! Don't push too hard! Jon
  12. Yes good luck w/ your project. I've got an EL swan neck 111h awaiting some parts for upgrade myself. I plan on doing a new dial w/ better lume. Also new hands w/ better lume as well. The crystal is already sapphire and AR coated. Hope to sell once its all done as I don't really wear it too much. 44mm Pannies just don't really do it for me anymore. I'm now hooked on the 47mm models! Good luck and best wishes! Cheers, Jon
  13. More than likely there will be a metal ring around the movement. This ring will serve two purposes. It will hold the movement at center in the case. It also houses "pusher extenders" for the chrono functions. In other words the movement is much smaller than the case and the actual pushers you see on the case wouldn't reach the movement. So the ring has these free floating pushers that serve to extend the actual case pushers. You shouldn't have to remove the actual pushers from the watch! Sounds complicated but should be easy. Once you get in there you will see how it works. Just be cautious and take some time to analyize where everything sits before you start removing parts! My Chrono Avenger is built this way so I'm guessing the 187 is no different. You'll also likely have to remove two small flat head screws that will hold thhe movement into this ring. Just make sure you are cautious of these "pusher extenders" so that you don't lose them. Hope I've helped you out! Cheers, Jon
  14. This is what I was worried about. It doesn't appear "fixed" on the new EL version either but rather just a dummy plate like the He valve. Sorry but I think I'm going to drop out of the buy for now. I'm going to ride my asian 7750 for as long as possible. If it fails I'll have it serviced. Good luck with your buy guys! Jon
  15. I've got a black OF strap I wanted to load up but I don't have a 26mm buckle lying around. Rubber will definately do for now! Oh well looks like its time to get a new strap or two or three or four! Cheers, Jon
  16. I'm in agreement here too but also have some other concerns about the 7753 versions. Not sure how the date pusher is supposed to operate on the 7753 but it feels as though it stationary on the new EL 187. Its making me wonder if the 7753 version will be a hack job thrown together by the rep companies. I'm very happy with me EL 187 so far especially now that its a confirmed "NEW" asian 7750. I was concerned I would receive that horrible old 7750a or b or b1 thing. I've had ZERO luck with those movements thus far. Much more comfortable with the new 28,800 vph model arriving in many of the new models! However a man is only as good as his word so if this group buy works out w/ a well built model and a reasonable price I will still be down, just expressing my doubts after seeing the EL version up close and personally! Chronus - Please keep us updated! Cheers, Jon
  17. I like the idea of the 44mm diameter but don't like the dial. Maybe because of what you mentioned earlier, though I haven't compared the rep to the gen side by side yet. Just something about the dial that doesn't do it for me. I hate to say this but I love my 49mm B for B because it has a very busy white dial. Its very busy but very classy in an odd sort of way! All that matters is what floats your boat! Jon
  18. It can be done with the proper tools at home but if you don't have a pin pusher tool then don't try. You'll bend or worse break the pins and be screwed if you ever sell the watch! Jon
  19. Yeah fascinates me too! I've previously owned a chronomat TT rep. It was actually quartz miyota movt, plated brass, no screws band, mineral glass etc. rep but it looked great. There are still plenty of Asian 21J reps out there as well as similar accurate bracelet reps out there. Makes me wonder why a pretty basic case (which already exists in these reps) and a pretty basic movt can't be repped. One day it will come and one day I'll buy one really quick! Breitlings are one of my favorite brands out there. The first automatic chronograph! Its like a sacrilige to own a not chronograph Breitling! Anyways, one too many beers tonight, but you get the idea! Cheers! Jon
  20. Chronomat and SMP Chrono would have to be at the very top of my list as well! And an addition you did not mention would also be the Super Avenger! 187 was well up there too but its now on the way! Jon
  21. Its only two more days Its only two more days Its only two more days Its only two more days Its only two more days ITS ONLY TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL MY CHRONOZILLA ARRIVES! LOL Jon Oops! How'd that happen!
  22. Another give away is the location of the item. Seems like many rep items and accessories come from the orient as well as the complete watches. Jon
  23. Its only two more days Its only two more days Its only two more days Its only two more days Its only two more days ITS ONLY TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL MY CHRONOZILLA ARRIVES! LOL Jon
