  1. once you discount mbk, you really only go up in price... yuki, phong? really the rest leave a lot to be desired. if youre gonna be modding it to some sort of show piece why not do it right from the beginning
  2. i have a jmb engraving idea. a proper 93150 link, flat top style
  3. sounds like its your fantasy fire up the decal printer
  4. my knowledge is limited on panerais but it was my understanding they refused to use tritec/superlume in favour of their own in house brand of "secret sauce" lume
  5. not bad, that gaping insert kind of detracts from it tho.
  6. your focus does seem a little soft. maybe try spot metering to make the case the exposure point. how do you like those klipsch ear buds?
  7. cant seem to get my 5513 to shine. havnt tried a blacklight yet though
  8. the mbk 1680 dial is like .01mm larger than a gen 5513 if that is any indication.
  9. i noticed this one too, its actually not bad, doesnt look mass factory produced tho as if someone took some time and effort to build it. i was trying to figure out the source but gave up. rwgs been mirroring a lot of vrf posts today.
  10. $380-$400 seems to be the going rate for a QUALITY controlled piece. i.e the retaining ring gasket has been added. the MBK dial its self isnt bad at all. looks like a service dial IMO
  11. forget the clone movement, youre better off is BK still using Clarks crystals in his builds?
  12. super clone means to me. in other words who knows if youre actually getting a swiss movement now even if you pay the extra $$ i see Angus offers a Sellita for $10 cheaper than the swiss eta. i would get that.
  13. watch them put some rehaut engraving on it ; ) as for CGs it probably comes down to precision tooling to cut it correctly and possibly a two step process to refine it, which wold cost them more $$ to take that little bit more off. thats the easiest explanation as to why theyre so large, its just easier and cheaper to cut them roughly to shape
  14. maybe we could get these silk screened ?
  15. the one in the link is not wm9 or a 1:1 TW
  16. i have a contact i use for tailored cashmere suits. make sure you do the measurements precisely and often do them 3 times to be sure. im satisfied with the results but there is nothing like a true fitting in person with the tailor since they make recommendations on how it hangs on you and even ask questions regarding comfort and can observe your full motion and how the suit reacts to different movements. tailors traditionally offer 2-3 fittings and then make alterations. thats really the only difference IMO between online and in person. well that and you can strike up a better deal or see new fabrics not yet listed. i have several tailored shirts and nothing else fits like that, theyre wonderful and cheaper than store bought off the rack mid to upscale brands, even the fabric is thick and rich feeling. be certain you discuss the style you want as tailors often make clothing to their default style, by that i mean the way it tapers, the amount of buttons on the sleeve, where the cuff falls, where the trousers break, etc etc. things to consider you may not have thought about. word of warning if you intend on buying ladies suits for a lady friend FORGET IT. for some reason womens clothing never turns out correctly fitting outside of in store fittings. its all those curves and hips and boobies ... plus theyre picky creatures.
  17. there are none. they all have problems and will require modding. even the most expensive cases need tweaking. DIY is the only way to go. name a case made by whoever i can tell you the faults with it.
  18. belgian beers always! only problem is youre supposed to drink them warm. chimay and leffe, are personal faves.
  19. what was the dpi of the working file? is autocad vector or raster based? if youre handy with adobe illustrator you could make a vector trace in that and try printing it, i feel it would be crisp... i dont know much about autocad but maybe you can import the eps or ai file? maybe even make a custom font based on the tudor one
  20. uh no. the factory changed the product for what ever stupid reason. they shortened the screws so they wouldnt break off when changing out links like so many did. and the end stamp is incorrect at 93250. clasp is also missing the indent but that is a smaller problem. end links remain the same.
