Yes,,thanks, that is very cool. I wish I had time to do a project right now. I have to get something with the snowflake hands,,,,and I don't know wny???
I'll take it off your hand (or winder),,,,I need something to put on this post!!!! I've got the vintage bug very bad right now I don't have a single vintage watch at this moment and money in my watch account,,,something is wrong
Thanks for the helpful comments. I'm going to consider this one,,,but not sure I can deal wtih the looks of that dial. However, at least the price is right.
however, I could pick this one up for just a little more,,not a snowflake but still nice

I just saw this on TZ,,,looks interesting but this dial is a new twist. Any ideas what is going on? Water damage?

Interesting about the mbk dial color,,,I had the TT noob and was totally impressed with the blue dial, just something you could look at over and over again. Got me curious how nice the MBK must be.
I did see one of those Willian Marshall's for sale,,,looked pretty good but I might try to do the debaufre 39 and see if I can jam in a tudor dial and hands. Anyone know Homer's link on the bay? I wish MKii made a sub homage, I would pick it up in a second!!! IMO, they make the best homage watches for the money...but so far just explorer and two blancpains.
I know at some point I'll end up with a gen sub, but not today I was curious about opinions on the best Swiss made homage. It looks like Marcello is probably it, next perhaps Debaufre then Sandoz?
Posts like this don't help, now I'm totally into these. In less then 12 hours I even changed my opinion on the hands,,,,now I have to do something like this. I did a little searching to see a project more within my means and found one based on a Sandoz with an Mkii dial and hands by customwatchparts. Nothing close to your project, but seems like something I might do.
Very cool,,,I can't believe I'm into these vintage Tudors all of a sudden. Did you say where the case came from? The style of hands might take a while for me to get used to,,,but looks great!
I'm going to learn how to enjoy the heat while I learn how to replace the fan in the air conditioner (turned out it wasn't the capacitor). If I do it myself I will save about 500 which is good but if I don't I can't get it replaced for another 4 days. An air conditioner can't be more complex than a watch,,,right?
Nice,,,the strap looks great,,,I have to get one of these someday,,,,,,I got stuck with the vintage tudor obsession,,,but right after that this is on the list. I mean,,,really, you have to have a tourbillon.
well,,,I just discovered my air conditioning isn't working, the fan isn't spinning. So I looked a few things up and it could be the flux capacitor. I might try to fix it myself and see what happens.
Cool post,,,,it reminds me of a pic of the Dalai lama wearing a rolex, It's not just about trying to impress others,,,,as I've recently discovered (I just made an offer on a vintage rollie) rolex has some nice watches and it doesn't matter if you are hanging around the house by yourself or trying to improve the world....
